Halloween II (1981) – Imprint Collection #476

From the mind of John Carpenter, the sequel to cultural phenomenon Halloween is packed with thrills and gore galore.

Scanned in 4K from the original camera negative, experience every bloodcurdling scream in UHD with Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos. PLUS, the fan-favourite Television Cut has been upscaled to high-definition Blu-ray. Packed with extended and alternate scenes, the Television Cut is Halloween II through a uniquely different lens, and a must-watch in HD for Michael Myers completionists.

Picking up exactly where the first film left off, Halloween II follows the same ill-fated characters as they encounter the knife-wielding maniac they thought had been left for dead in the first film. It seems the inhuman Michael Myers is still very much alive and out for more revenge as he stalks the deserted halls of the Haddonfield hospital. Why do people keep saying it sold out? It's still available for me. I could order one if I wanted to. I guess they must have different allocations for specific countries? Not sure.
Because it was sold out temporarily, it was listed as ‘out of stock, right now it's sold out according to Via Vision. (OP updated)
Retailers likely bought over 100 copies, which may explain why Viavision took it offline a few times.
They were likely securing deals with retailers, for instance when Brother Belial ordered 20+ copies (only 9 left), before putting it back up for pre-order.
Since Viavision doesn’t know the exact demand from retailers, they pulled it temporarily to allocate stock.
That way retailer orders are less likely to be cancelled due to limited supply.

OP updated. ;)

From their site:

"I no longer want an item I have pre-ordered.

We do not allow refunds on pre-orders. However, please use our Contact Form to let our team know your issue, so we can grant exceptions in rare circumstances. For more information, please consult our Refund and Returns Policy."

So does increasing the print run fall under the "rare circumstances" category as a reason for cancelling a pre-order? :dunno::LOL:

Exactly, feels totally unfair to anyone who pre-ordered thinking it was limited to 1,000.
Now that they’ve increased it to 2,000, it seems like a perfectly valid reason to cancel.
I’m gonna keep my pre-order and just hope I don’t regret it in the long run, like seeing it later on sale from another retailer.:shipped:

This company is shady as hell. Imagine manta lab or any other retailer sudently increase their limitation units after pre order, poeple would go nuts and dont trust the company anymore. It just gives a sour taste of bad reputation, a company who doesnt care about their customers. Especialy when they do this after saying "NO REFUNDS ALLOWED

You get my point. When you sell it as limited to 1000 copies then open it for pre-order, there is no exuse to increase the limitation with another 1000 afterwards. Only greed
Oh I agree of course, one of the most important parts of a business is managing customer expectations.

Doubling the number of units for what is supposed to be a very limited set is poor form especially after selling most of the stock, it should have been made clear from the start otherwise they shouldn't do it.

I'm usually amongst the first to be gleefully happy, when a limited edition sells out, that I managed to grab a copy of, but this situation is not that bad. It's still very limited, and they promised not to add any more...

Remember Umbrella printed an unknown amount of unnumbered Mario boxsets, after they saw them selling for over $400 US on eBay?

Or how about that Limited Run company – they have a Preorder period for about a month, with unlimited number of copies one can order, and then go and make as many copies, as were sold... I think that's actually perfect, in that there's no bloodbath, like with MantaLab, no missing out, and much less scalpers, since it's not immediately going up in price.

What ya'll should be concerned about, is buying a crappy cheap $10 plastic toy, with some ugly ass matte steelbooks...

Its not that bad, its still very limited? Seriously?
Whats the point of paying premium prices for premium limited sets if they can print more anytime they want just becouse there's demand. And smell money. There should be demand so that the poeple who have it on order are proud to have such a limited release. You pay for a edition that is limited to 1000 pieces period. Not 2000. And the fact they announce (NO REFUNDS) before this action is a real Dick move. Pardon my language.
