I really enjoyed the series up until the final episode... It wasn't bad by any means, just didn't quite live up to what came before.

If you're worried about Amazon US packaging, order a couple of other things at the same time and they should box it up - I just got 3 steels in a box instead of the paper bag treatment I usually get.

Good luck ordering this from amazon.US and expecting it to arrive intact.
I've received stuff in the UK in what amounts to nothing more than a paper bag, taking their packaging to a whole new level of utter sh#t..
My advice? Pray for a miracle...

If you order with gift packaging, they put the steelbook in a sturdy gift bag, then put it in a sturdy box. My items generally arrive in mint condition that way.

Getting a box is more likely but not guaranteed even with gift packaging. I don’t buy from Amazon anymore. But back when I did there were several times when the gift bag was stuffed into a flimsy paper or plastic mailer.

Quite literally, whenever I've ordered a plain steelbook with gift packaging from Amazon USA, they have always used a sturdy cardboard box. The problem is when you order from Amazon international.

I had ordered from both and gotten boxes and bags from both. I think it's luck of the draw with Amazon. If you get the right person packing your order then you're in luck. But I doubt using a box is much of a consideration for most when Amazon probably encourages using cheaper packaging. Regardless, you're on a good run. I hope it continues, so you keep getting boxes.

The good thing about the gift bag in the box is that it keeps the steelbook from moving around. That's why the ravioli mailer is under appreciated packaging. The flatness and wings prevent crushing from the sides and it can't move and bounce around like when a steelbook is shoved in a box with like 1 deflated air pillow to protect it.

The packing person is no more, than a human robot, soon to be replaced by an actual robot, they're told by the screen what type of packaging to take for each next assigned item.

I've never had a single item arrive from Amazon international arrive unscathed, gift wrap or otherwise. Stopped using them for physical media ages ago. I use Amazon UK for loads of stuff without issue but again, won't use 'em for physical media due to their constant fulfilment problems

Yeah, that’s true. I’m old…was thinking back a bit to when I knew someone who worked in one of the warehouses and told me that if you get the right person then you’re in luck.

Glad the arts stuck I just wish they were reversed. Back it far more suited for main front art but I’m happy with it regardless
