But anyhoo... might be tempted by this if the artwork is decent. Would love for them to do the same for the other Bond actors as well... although some sets would obviously be smaller than others.
I'd skip Moore, buy Brosnan, and I guess they'd have to put Lazenby and Dalton together (lol) - which I can't say I'd buy, even though I do like Dalton's more than anything 1969-85.

Just simply boycott HMV until they have no other option than to reintroduce a code. F**k em, hit them where it hurts. Everything in life increased yesterday and now can afford even less lol. And please don’t reply to this is you’re sticking up for HMV and the corporate machine. I have zero time for that
Why is HMV selling at RRP worthy of a boycott but everyone else gets a pass?

I'd probably buy them all just for the sake of having a complete set. But yeah, there's certainly some of them I'd rather not have to spend cash on lol. Also loved Dalton as Bond... shame he had such a short run at it.

I’ll go where discount is allowed to be applied and loyalty is rewarded. You asked the same the other day and I ignored it because I can’t quite work out what you don’t understand. I used Zavvi the majority of my collecting life and then HMV offered a better incentive. So I jumped ship. Then taken it away so I’ll go back to Zavvi where I can still order with some form of discount. But also why do think my issue is only with HMV? It’s the whole machine and pricing in Britain im sick off. But also why do you care what I say? Why you mad that I want the best offer for me? Weird

And more importantly

What the f**k don’t you understand about this sentence?

Apart from maybe 1, I just don't like campy moore as bond at all. I really liked Dalton as bond, too. Tbh he could've done Goldeneye, or at least another 1 going in that direction before, as it was all relatively fitting with his more 'dangerous' bond.

It's not a quesiton of not understanding, you're applying a double standard. Zavvi charges a yearly fee for a service which offers no discounts on pre-orders but does give free shipping while HMV gives you free shipping at no cost. True, you get 10% on old stock from Zavvi but that's fairly useless when most popular steelbooks sell out quickly so it's never an option from them.

Yes I think HMV should bring something in to replace the lost 20% discount but it's ridiculous to paint them as villains and boycott them over this because when they're no worse than the alternatives most of the time. Like you I will go where it's cheapest obviously but I can't say where that is because outside of the occassional promo deals most of them are going to be about the same price.

There's a few of Moore's films I like, and I didn't necessarily dislike him as Bond, but he was far from the best and he overstayed his welcome IMO. Connery was the ultimate Bond... proper cool and suave, and made the character what it is today. Yeah, GoldenEye with Dalton would've been interesting, for sure!

Wish they'd at least bring their points scheme back, if nothing else... I used to get some awesome promo stuff through Pure hmv. Surprised Zavvi don't do that tbh. Then again, we'd probably all be minted with points and run them dry

Puts us in a bit of a dilemma anyway... I'd rather continue to support HMV over Zavvi, but then Zavvi are the only ones that offer some sort of discount (if you're lucky), and not to mention cashback! So we've obviously got to put our needs before theirs unfortunately.
Whst discount I not see any In years are we talking about codes as I used to use them years ago and was nice to get some money off, then it stopped and so did zavvi to us for a few years. And today stuff is even more expensive and it be cool to get that extra discount now.
HMV I can’t use them as they don’t ship overseas which is a shame but it would be nice if they did

HMV's was 20% off through their "refer a friend" program, but people found a way to exploit it and basically use it whenever they pleased lol. Zavvi's is a 10% off code (RC10OFF) that's available to Red Carpet subscribers and is only supposed to work on in-stock items, but you can also get it to work on pre-orders if you're super quick! So, there's not really any surefire way of getting a discount on new items anywhere at the moment unfortunately.

I’m really surprised they’ve never done a collection with the poster artwork for each one
They did when they first released the movies on VHS widescreen and they were brilliant and that’s exactly what they need to do with these after the utter s*^% steelbooks they had the nerve to sell for the 60th anniversary!
