I know we have the newly acquired thread, but with the cost of framing these bad boys it can take some time to get these framed. So, I thought I would start a thread to show what's the latest Posters & Art you've gotten framed and how you proudly display it.

:movie:

Here are the latest I just got back. Note, the wife wants to paint first, so the "how you proudly display it" is not valid in these pics. ;)

Primus "Bass Concert Hall ATX 11/7/12" (Todd Slater) Wife and I went to this show last year. We plan on getting a shadow frame for the ticket stub to go underneath.

Transformers "Oversized Version" (Sig 162/225) (Tim Doyle) This actually turned into a gift for my brother in-law. Nice gift. ;)

Finally was able to pick these up from the gallery:

Got a couple of prints framed up recently, as I have a bit of a back log!

Scott Pilgrim Vs The World by Kevin Tong. I had to take the shot at an angle to reduce the glare. This is my first 24" x 36" print, I've put up on a wall. It was too big for a mount but it still looks good in a simple frame.

Till All Are One by Matt Ferguson. (Based off the only Transformers film that I like :D )

For people who have been waiting to frame something and live by a Michaels store they are currently doing a 60% + 20% sale which is one of the better coupons you will find. I finally pulled the trigger for myself

So my almost completed art job. I really hated having to be a snob but unfortunately the frame had a small dent in it and for the price of the job I just couldn't take it once I noticed it, even the framing person admitted it was there so they re-ordered the frame and it will likely be another 5-7 days. I asked if they would lower the price if I kept it but they just said they re-order it or you keep it, so that's where we are at.

I did though snap a quick pic with my crappy camera phone. It is really nice!!! Michael's did a great job, I still recommend them, it is not their fault.

@rover yeah the green mat is the felt kind and it really pops, overall very happy with

just that if i make sure a steelbook has no dents, then why take a custom frame job with an imperfection before i even walk out the door

@Ezcompane Nice! Looks like a 1.5 matting, right?

Mind asking what you paid? Did you use the 60 + 20 coupon during black friday?

Yes I did. I don't know what I paid as my wife paid for it as a Christmas present. Though I believe it was $140 or so. I also framed another Jason Edmonton print that I found while searching for information about his art. This frame was about $115 after the sale price. The people in the framing department always get excited when I bring something in because they told me they typically frame diplomas and work/family type of items.

@Ezcompane nice, yeah the people at the two places I go to are always interested to see what I have. I use either Michael's or a local shop (as that supports local business)

so for smaller pieces where the price difference is not as great I use the local shop but for larger pieces where the local shop would be too expensive I go to Michaels
