Have to say not even a little tempted, close up of those two "statues" sealed the deal they look like they come out of a happy meal box.
At least with an Happy Metal box, you actually get an Happy meal

Yeah those figurines aren't really impressive. They look like re-sized, bad quality Iconic Statues from DC Collectibles with slight pose changes. For those interested in realistic high-end collectibles from Man of Steel.. check out these:
So, in my opinion.. just buy the collectibles you like from the ones above and buy the MoS steelbook and you're good to go. This figurine gift set is probably aimed at kids.

I own the Zod and Faora statues pictured above, they look better in hand than in these pictures, but don't expect Hot Toys paint job quality on the headsculpts of these statues. Although I must say the Faora and Zod statues look miles better than the other Iconic Statues. If I were to buy the Superman statue I think I'd have it re-painted. The likeness is there, the paint job.. not so much. Here's a video review of it.

Hot Toys announced MoS 1/6 Articulated figures, these are prototypes so there will probably be improvements for the final product. They might also announce Zod and Faora figures. Check out their facebook page.

Yeah, I understand that the studios would want to target all kinds of 'levels' of fans, as far as quality, price, etc (not everyone wants a full scale bust of Superman, lol), but these just don't look good at all. I don't know....
