Hope they don't emboss this. In my opinion it would spoil this excellent artwork, which is strong enough not to need any gimmicks. All it needs is a quality paint finish.

Id like to see a more textured matte coat. Definitely no embossing it would ruin it. Gloss wouldnt work with the front art as its a painting.

This is a great steelbook. Some of the Zavvi steelbooks churned out show not attention to detail, but this is excellent.

Front yes, back no...just doesn`t match at all. Also disapointed with the 12 monkeys release where they should have changed front and back. Feeling like maybe they are rushing things at the moment?

For those that have never seen Pan's Labyrinth, and wonder why everyone is up in arms over the artwork, it's because this movie is rich with amazing visuals and fantasy. There's plenty of awesome artwork to produce a real winner of a steelbook, front/back/inside.

If you want one picture to tell you all about this movie, with no words, the first pic below captures just about everything.

Plus several other pics below it that do well representing the themes and "feel" of Pan's Labyrinth. All these pictures make me want to load the disc and watch the movie, which I believe should always be a key element when choosing film artwork.

I wasn't insinuating that the "all inclusive" pics should be steelbook covers (although I'm not saying they shouldn't either).

Those pics show the movie for what it is. What I'm saying is... artwork should be chosen accordingly.

See how small the one-eyed monster is in the bottom pic? takes up about 2 inches or less. that seems about right. lol.

Ordered this one , I love the front artwork. I'm not too fussed about the back artwork either to be honest, it could have been worse but if anything I'd like it to be something more subtle.
