Earlier today, a Predator-related announcement at Comic-Con was teased and it has now been revealed. Fox is working on a Predator 3D Blu-ray release and have something special planned for those attending the convention:

via Hero Complex: “To mark the 3-D Blu-ray release of the 1987 Arnold Schwarzenegger-starring “Predator,” Fox is dedicating a jungle-themed booth to the film and its iconic extra-terrestrial.

“Predator” fans will be able to purchase custom-designed mini-figurines featuring their likeness. Because what fan wouldn’t want to see his or her own decapitated head, spine still attached, being held up by a Predator?

The action figures will be created using photographs of participants (taken at the booth) and 3-D printing. The figurines will be mailed to buyers after the convention. Click through the gallery above for a sneak peek.

The booth will also feature a Comic-Con exclusive “Predator 3D” head as well as the opportunity to preorder the Blu-ray.”

In a first-of-its-kind activation at Comic-Con, fans can enter booth #3528 and have their photo taken with state of the art cameras courtesy of 3D Systems. Their image will then be used to make them the victim as a customized figurine is created using 3D Systems 3D printing technology that features the Predator alien holding the fans’ severed head! The figurine is only available to fans that purchase the PREDATOR Blu-ray 3D, available exclusively for pre-order at Comic-Con and packaged in a limited edition Predator head for $129.99. Fans can also receive the figurine with the purchase of a “headless” Blu-ray 3D for $49.99. Additionally fans will get a first look at the all-new 3D transfer of the film before it arrives on Blu-ray 3D later this year as they enter the jungle that is ruled by the ultimate warrior that came from another planet. Attendees can also participate in the “Hunt the Predator” challenge. Fans who find the Predator, take a photo and upload it to their social networks with the official hashtag “#HUNTthePREDATOR” will be entered to receive a front of the line pass at the Predator 3D booth for an exclusive 3D printed figurine. The PREDATOR Blu-ray 3D will be shipped to all those that pre-order at Comic-Con when it is officially released in December. The custom figurine will be shipped following the convention.

lol this doesn't look very good, the mask looks like a 4 year old made it of playdoe. better to buy a real bust if you want that and buy the 3D movie on Amaray at sale.

Based on the pictures we have seen so far, it is safe to say the head (not bust, because it does not includes the shoulder) is better looking than the bust in Predator Ultimate Collection DVD years ago.

The only nickpick area is: it looks small, almost like 1:3 scale, where the bust in UCE DVD is about 1:2.

The major plus point is the actual face including the mandibles! I mean, it will cost you USD500 to get hold of the actual Sideshow bust!

-Dreads are a to short
-Mandibles are to short
-Teeths are to unsharf und chunky
-The inner teeths have tha false position.
-The inner mouth "lips" are to big

Slightly off-topic but the 1:1 Sideshow Predator bust has been on my wishlist for years

the 1:1 bust is a holy grail, it took me a while to find, but so pleased I did, which is why this looks not that great. But then again, it does cost a lot less than you would find the bust for, so I can see peoples interest in it, just not for me.

It looks very cheap and the mask is not accurate at all. Nor are the mandibles. My neca 7 inch figures are far more accurate.

The best is the german price. It will only cost 59,99€

It´s live for preorder on cede.de and will probably be available somewhere else too closer to release.

I still don't believe this is accurate. I don't think they would sell this for not even half of the price of the other country's editions. Maybe it's smaller or has no mask or something like that.

Got an answer back from www.cede.de, they only ship to Switzerland, Germany and Austria. :-(

I missed this when it came out on Dvd, but managed to get my order in for this one! Would have liked it to have been a complete set of Predator films though for the price. Seems a bit too steep just for the first film in 3D. I'll be annoyed if they do the same thing for the other releases in the series

This maybe the correct price and may be the same set. I pre ordered the predator head back may moths ago from a site called filmarena.cz and that was priced at €89 which works out at around £76. At the time of the order the picture of the set was the predator DVD head version but with the Blu-ray Disc behind it.

The site now has updated the photo of the set and its the same as the Foxconnect version. I still have 2 of these on order so may keep them just incase. But can cancel at anytime so we shall see what happens if these are indeed different sets.
