Weirdly anything I've imported from Amazon US has generally been fine for me. I actually had two things arrive in the last week from them after having not ordered for over a year (a vinyl and a pet hair trimmer) and both were perfect, and I ordered a steelbook last time out and that was good too. Maybe it's more to do with issues with US and UK post I wonder, we have specific Amazon delivery services here (Ireland) that don't involve the post office generally or anything like Hermes or Evri so maybe that cuts out a big part of the issues.
It's specifically movie physical media I am referring to. Try ordering one of those Columbia sets or a Scream steelbook... I also think the longer things have been released for might play a part. They definitely have issues storing things as I'm quietly confident the items I have bought from them had been bashed around so much they had to have new plastic over them... honestly it would haunt you the things I could show you from them as a collector. Perhaps the newer releases you're just at the mercy of the postal system initially but anything that's been out a while it's a lottery win if you get it mint.

Yeah could play a big part if Ireland too because of your Amazon distribution centre. I know you tend to get UK pre orders a little earlier right? Or so I've heard..

Added few pics below. As a collector they come with a warning of graphic content.:ohno:

Scratches all over the back. Bare in mind it came with a thick card j-card covering it and sealed in plastic. Bashed up corners too albeit not as bad as

Like these are thick solid sets so the force you'd need to create that. Like I said they dgaf and if things are constantly on sale I'd wager this is why. Beaten up stock.

Ditto, think it was the 1408 Steelbook that shipped in what was effectively an envelope and it arrived unscathed.

I already feel sorry for the state some of these will arrive in from Amazon US. They dgaf

But also pretty confident Amazon are going to want to make the most of this and like all their shows it'll be available from Amazon UK, Italy etc. etc.
Order with other titles to force them to use a large box. I just received steelbooks of The Fog and The Blob in perfect condition USA to UK because I ordered 10 other titles with them. If not you can order with a pack 16 toilet rolls :woot:

I love it when you recommend the toilet rolls method @Stu123

It's a winner. It Definitely works. Tried and tested. Only problem is, finding enough to buy to make it worth it.

Can't even understand what the movie is at first. Why? There are so many nice posters.
How could one approve something like this? It has NOTHING to do with the movie. There were no color circles in it.
Things like this make me believe humanity is utterly dumb and arrogant.
Also makes me wish we could vote the creators of such things to be punished.
If you aren't made for russia, I don't know who is .. :D

I think the issue's more to do with amazon sending stuff half way round the world in flimsy paper bags.
My worst, and most bizarre experience was when I received the Warfare A24 4k digipack absolutely trashed. The bulk of the damage was actually under the seal and it was missing an artcard:angry:
The only items I've received unscathed are amaray case only 4K's. Everything that's arrived with a slip has been damaged so I've pretty much given up ordering anything from them.
Using this 'environmentally friendly' packaging is simply a ploy to make Amazon look good, however, I wonder how much of their returns actually end up in landfill, defeating the object. It must be costing them a fortune in refunds but the amount Amazon makes would vastly outweigh this so they probably don't give a Sh#t as long as they look good...
