There is no Zavvi version but there is a trade wide release.

There is 2 UK releases
1)Trade wide release (Amazon UK/Zavvi/HMV etc)
2)HMV Exclusive

The UK trade wide release thread was created same time as the HMV release

I didn't even realise there were 2 versions of this steelbook until I saw this post.
I got the classic poster version.

Is this the prefered option then? If so why?

I don't think it defines the film as much as the wider release steelbook.

I think this exclusive variant was announced first, so I ordered it initially. But when I saw the general release version I preferred that so cancelled the HMV exclusive and went with the classic poster version instead.
