5* TV drama at its finest.
No guns, no CGI, no ghosts, no robots, no space pirates, no green monsters, no lazer swords, no Marvel, no DC, no giant Kaiju.

Just brilliant storytelling, with exquisite acting, sublime cinematography, superb editing and wonderful music.
About as classy as TV gets.
Multilingual cast with multi generational timelines, told in a purposeful, meaningful way.
The pace takes its time over 8 beautiful episodes and is all the more wonderful for it.

If you liked Minari, you'll love Pachinko.

In fact the oscar winning supporting actress in Minari - Youn Yoh-jung, has a central role in Pachinko, and she's heartbreaking.

I can't recommend it highly enough. If you're bored of CGI cartoon comic bulls**t then watch Pachinko.

It's that good.

And it has perhaps the most brilliant title sequence this side of Peacemaker.
