A quintessential cult film of the 1980s, Alex Cox’s singular sci-fi comedy stars the always captivating Harry Dean Stanton as a weathered repo man in a desolate Los Angeles, and Emilio Estevez as the nihilistic middle-class punk he takes under his wing. The job becomes more than either of them bargained for when they get involved in repossessing a mysterious—and otherworldly—Chevy Malibu with a hefty reward attached to it. Featuring the ultimate early eighties L.A. punk soundtrack, this grungily hilarious odyssey is also a politically trenchant take on President Reagan’s domestic and foreign policies.

I'm surprised Criterion picked this film up, this is a really great cult movie, very unique but it seems different from the types of films Criterion likes to release. But then again they did pick up Dazed and Confused and Wes Anderson's films, so I'm not entirely surprised I guess

@dan8885 I'm guessing all Stout did on that one was the title font. And them just giving credit where credit is due.

Cause Stout did this poster and jay shaw seemingly primarily did the Repo Man poster. The fact that Rob Jones was credited for design I'm guessing he helped with the composition I suppose.

Jay talked about his Nightcrawler steelbook design for Mondo X and how ultimately he had to go back to what worked fro Repo Man for studio approval. This as discussed in a panel for Mondo Con 2.
