True...I passed on the German one for being too dark 
After the sell out for the Japanese Rush steel case, I might want to pre-order this ASAP if anyone has any interest in this at all. Rush was only sold for maybe 3-4 days at the list price of ￥6,264 on Amazon, and had a limit of 4,000 copies.
Now, according to Shochiku, this SteelBook release is limited to 3,000 copies, and is the only way to get the Unrated Director's Cut, which will come on its own separate Blu-ray Disc in Japan. It is also currently ￥4,710 on Amazon.
Unless something else was going on with Rush, I would not be surprised if this sells out quickly. It might not have been as well-received, but it's cheaper than Rush, and offers significant content incentive, for only ￥606 more than the Japanese amaray edition on Amazon.
EDIT: And this is currently sitting at #19 on the live-updated list of best selling Blu-rays on Amazon.
