Royal Mail Sending Restricted Goods abroad

Hi Folks,

Recently Royal Mail had come up with a ban on sending certain items outside the UK. This includes flammable items. I got to ship Mission Impossible Tin with the Zippo lighter and I am not sure if it is safe to send it.

Can someone please advice?

Make sure that it is empty and maybe mark it as such.

Don't bother if its got or ever had lighter fluid in it then its a no for international and inland mail. Sorry to be the barer of bad news

If it's ever been filled then strictly speaking it's a no-no. Could offer to send without the innards though?

yup esp if they can tell ...

perhaps tell the buyer you are willing to send each separately but that the lighter may not make it ... and if they are cool with that.

Ofcourse done the internal of any zippo fit inside the case part? I think so... so you could send the shell of the zippo which is what has the art on it anyways ... person can buy his own cheap zippo if he wants to put the internal back in.
