Oops thought this was in 45 mins, probably best as I wasn't that fussed anyway. Doesn't bode well for 1 and 2 though which I'm sure I will want.

Seems like a lot of people were skipping this one but will want 1 + 2 and it still sold out instantly. Those two are gonna be insanely difficult to acquire

I managed to add the OC to the cart and paid, but I don't have any order on my account nor an e-mail confirmation. Nothing on paypal either. But I do have a payment in the card I used. I guess I now have neither money nor the OC. Great

I've seen others mention this happened to them, can't recall if they had to contact them in the end or it just got refunded after a delay.

Having written a few payment systems there's sometimes some big windows for stuff to fall through, I'm actually surprised at how well the collectong website handles all the traffic on a pre-order launch. You can contact them if they don't sort it soon but in your shoes I'd be desperately hoping they somehow find extra allocation...

People probably lying and still went for this. Instantly for the OC and DL B maybe but no bloodbath. People had a few minutes to get DL A and the FS and if they were unable in 6 minutes then they are just slow and that’s on them. As long as you order straight away 1 & 2 won’t be a problem

Later, the Spider-Man 2 Steelbook image design will be the various images will be the best ever~!!!
However, I think the pre-order process will be even more intense than it is now it is true :(

I already have the money back, which means, sadly, that I won't get any allocation. I will try to get the other two and if so, then look for this one on the second-hand market, if the prices don't go crazy.

Yes, at least the website can handle the traffic, but I pretty much prefer a checkout that secures the item for a few minutes once you have it on the cart, that would prevent charging the customer if there is no stock.

Sorry to hear; I don't think there's any system which can truly solve this issue though as the problem isn't the process, demand just exceeds supply and at that point you're just choosing which set of compromises you want to live with.

If you had a checkout system which ties up stock to those first through the door you just end up having everyone rush for those early slots and it's easy to abuse, multiple clients to secure those spots then checkout at your convenience, which would be a worse result.

I'm seriously considering going with a group buy for the other two to avoid any drama.

Yes, you're right. On second thought, and based on what you say, people could block products to think about what they want, people with interest could leave... definitely not the best option for the seller.

The truth is that after today's experience, I think so too. The problem is that the price difference for my country is huge. We're talking about a 30% fee. It's daylight robbery.

If you didn't get a confirmation upon returning from PayPal to the Collectong site, then you don't have a copy – happens to me almost every time: I pay, and then it says I get nothing. Was like this with DL-B slip, so bought the DL-A.

Yes, me too, but...

Even more for me, like 50%.
Directly I get them shipped for free to a local Hong Kong forwarder, which then sends them to me for about $15 a slip, if I get a few together in one package. So that's less than $70, while GB copies cost at least $100 now... which is the same, as some resell them for later.
But with these Spider-Man films peeps are going crazy, so it'll probably be more, thus overpaying through a GB might be reasonable.
