Novamedia need to sort out the website for high demand releases
It should be like any other retailer that ships direct worldwide
Add to cart and make payment and complete checkout in 1 attempt
It should take only a few seconds and not once have any issues to order as long as it's listed as in stock
Once you add to cart it should be easy and no issues

They need to have every single unit of stock only available from the website and not use resellers or a group buy with outside websites
All units on the day available to order direct and no issues at any stage when a customer gets to checkout

When it's sold out it's only because all the stock was sold from the website not because most of it was already pre sold using resellers

Novamedia will loose customers and then find releases not in high demand take lot longer to sell or end up not sold at all
Customers are the most important factor in any business and these customers should be able to order without any issues if in stock

It's time for NovaMedia to sort things out it's gone on to long this crazy setup they have to sell items for sale

For a release like Star Wars every single unit of the print run should have been available to order direct and no issues with doing an order
They would have had 2,000 customers happy that could order direct instead they only had a few hundred who managed this
Total crazy setup they have
imo would it be any easier if they put all 2000 copies on line to order direct um i don't think it would still going to get the same out come !

The reason why there is difficulty ordering on-line direct is because over half the stock is already gone through group buys and there are also resellers they provide stock with before it goes live on the website.
Majority of customers order from a retailer using the website store so when most of the stock is already gone because of GB etc it causes more strain on the website than if all copies where available direct it's that simple
It still sells out fast but has less issues and less strain on the website getting to checkout is easier before it sells out

All high demand titles should only be sold on their website as in when a print run of 2,000 or 4,000 every single unit can be only purchased from their website

It's basic website setup you need the units to supply the demand

I already have
They did listen before with a very high demand release and if they had not taken my advice then that particular release would have been even more difficult than it was

In my opinion when it a very high demand release you need to have all the print run only sold from the website to help reduce the strain on the website

They get abuse on facebook which is not nice as some are abusive and use bad language but a lot of customers just voice their concerns politely I find it strange they not reply to these polite concerns considering it happens regularly with high demand releases and you would think as a business they do all that is needed to make the ordering process easier and less problems

Pre Selling the stock before it goes live to Group Buys and Resellers does not solve the website be better for customers to be able to place an order it makes it more difficult

I know they want to sell all stock as quickly as possible but they will loose more customers if the website continues to have less stock available for a pre order when it's high demand

I keep repeating this but a new customer today their experience of attempting to order from their website would not be a pleasant experience and that customer is less likely to use the website again going by their first experience which means releases not high demand will struggle to sell due to lack of repeat custom because the customer won't want to use them again
imo thank god for group buys and by having this you also makes a contribution to the upkeep of this web site !

That's not how you run a on-line business to have happy customers you create the opposite unhappy customers

They should only use a GB to sell stock they find difficult to sell on-line as an extra resource to sell units they might not get

A release that is guaranteed to sell on-line direct does not need any GB to help get sales

why would they use a gb to sell stock they find difficult to sell online when people could just go to the website and get it there that does not really make much sense in that ,also that a release is guaranteed to sell online direct does not need any group buy to get sales imo the group buys it's not about sales it's about people being able to get what they want which ever way you look at it on a low print run there is always going to be unhappy people it's a no win situation !

It was my first experience on nova and i don't think i'll go back.I've bought tickets for some of the biggest concerts in the u.k in recent years an never been sent back in time 100 times over a hour.Nova had 1200 or so items not 60,000 and they cant cope with that. There servers must be powered by a commodore 64

The issues with the website is caused by most of the stock already gone it should not be like that if you want to sell to customers and then expect these same customers to return to your on-line store and purchase other releases

Look at the number of very angry customers on Facebook and even more shocking not a single Sorry reply from Novamedia or any reply as to how they will solve these issues
You would be surprised as to how many customers not aware about HDN and other web forums most order using a retailer on-line webstore

There are lots of business who are a lot smaller setup up compared to Novamedia but they don't have these website issues simply because they have the on-line store working correctly to handle extra internet traffic they get fast sell out without checkout issues
