I'm convinced Novamedia is perfectly happy that their releases cause so much chaos. In fact, it's probably their MO. It's free publicity 101. It just boggles my mind that there are no US retailers doing premium steels like these. Best we can do is Best Buy? Boring as f**K steelbooks with WWA.

They do NOT see the need to. They operate on low production cost theorem. Make steel as cheap as possible and sell. If they could see the potential big opportunity in this, they'd jump on it. Collecting is actually a niche hobby though, most US retailers look at overall volume so a 5K print run is peanuts, 15k or more with high consumer demand will suffice. On a side note, keep in mind in the US market, DVDs are still the #1 seller by a wide margin and 3D is dying :).

Well after the Last Stand Thread today then I guess this post shall remain.

Before this gets out of hand guys can we please remember Aniv hosts group buys here at cost. He doesn't have to do that, if he was purely in it to make money why would he help people out rather than just sell the copies himself. He may have spare copies left over from GB's that he wants to get rid off, I think he does enough for the forum to not warrant being called a scalper.

Hi Simon,

I do not intend to cause any friction, just hopeful you see the point made after the Last Stand witch hunt, that people are easily branded a scalper all too easy.

If there was a profile or a blue print for one, this is as clear as day a- the same blue print that others that have used and been branded a scalper in the past.

Considering the prices and how others have been branded. Scalper is the word, yes.
You have no knowledge why he is or if he's doing it.

You are any other person.

And if so, so what. I'm sure others are doing the same.

He has the right. Don't buy from him then. It's that simple

He's taking the time and effort & money to do these group buy. The gall of someone to try and call him out for something they have know idea as to why he's doing it.

Off course it will always be a contentious issue, selling at a higher price will always irritate people. I just wanted to make the point that Aniv goes to a lot of trouble to obtain all the copies for the GB's and he doesn't have to do this. He doesn't sell them profit and does it to help fellow members. We need to remember that before we start saying certain members are only in it to make money.
