This is THE version to own! British perfection! Watch as it sores on the secondary market while the VASTLY inferior US edition becomes nothing!

Cool, hopefully I'll be able to score the US version at a decent price then! Rey is not the centerpiece of the film, in my opinion Mark is and he's not on the cover.

Rey is THE character of the 3 films to follow ep 6. She is the character linking the films and the star outright of all 3 as confirmed by Kath Kennedy and the producers. UK editions always fetch more on the secondary market

I think that's just the white graphics giving that impression. The creases on the glove are as in the posters.
Yes, the seam of the glove is there on both steelbook and poster but the way the "finger" sticks out on the steelbook image makes it look more like a thumb to me than a finger.
The poster image clearly shows the back of the right hand with all four fingers clasping the hilt unlike the steelbook image which still looks to me like a left hand grip coming off the right arm ... just looks a bit odd (imo).
There's also this:-

Sure, but Kylo was the driving force in TFA and Mark was in TLJ. Was thinking Rey and Finn wielding lightsabers would work better for the final chapter in this trilogy for some reason. It's hard to believe Luke has never been featured on any of the Steelbook covers.

Looks great! I like the spine more than the North American release and overall I think this steelbook has more colour than the NA release as well.

I also prefer the style of the J-Card over the NA edition.

It's typical that the sh1test star wars film gets the better steelbook treatment!!!

Not even once. But twice as the U.S. one is fine also.

Trying to push sales much Disney?
Just when you think the people who hated this movie couldn't get more ridiculous.

The steelbook looks amazing, and I can't wait to own my favourite Star Wars movie soon. Just two more days. :D

Let me guess, you were born in the nineties or after?

Nope, mid-'80s. Not that it matters because just as people who hate the film are allowed their opinion without having to qualify it, so are the people who love it.

I don't know what's ridiculous about loving this movie anyway. But implying it's worse than the prequels always makes me laugh because they're absolutely terrible.

What's ridiculous is I don't know how you can rate this film over any of the original Star Wars trilogy movies if you are a fan of the series.

Yes, the prequels were bad but at least they followed the story and tied up story arcs....

This just plain sucked. I'll never get that image of Leia doing her best Superman impression flying through space out of my head!! Come on!!

Film (like most other things) is subjective and the Leia thing didn't bother me. I find the prequels unwatchable, but if you like them then have at it, no skin off my nose. But I could name a million more ridiculous and embarrassing things in those three films than the Leia scene, just sayin'. The prequels supposedly tying things up (when they didn't create continuity issues) is irrelevant to me if I can't stand watching them.

Okay all- let's just try to remain civil. I've always been proud of the Star Wars fanbase for it's contributions to charity and the sheer enjoyment that it brings out in people- but the toxicity of the bickering over the Last Jedi has split the fandom in to a rather combative basis.... The Last Jedi isn't a perfect film- I can defend the film in it's creative choices however that doesn't mean that I'm willing to forgo some of the glaring issues that I have with it.

And while taste cannot be accounted for, I'm going to have to agree with @winter_soldier in saying that in terms of construction- The Last Jedi is far more consistent than the prequels. Lest not forget that the prequels contradict the mythology established within the original trilogy. Such minor circumstances such as where Sheevy Palps stating that the Republic has existed for "1000 years" whilst Ben Kenobi says that it is "1000 generations"... or the "Prophecy to bring balance to the Force" from the Phantom Menace is rewritten to be "the prophecy to destroy the Sith"- can be glossed over as just things that were not fact-checked upon the completion of Lucas' first (and most likely only) drafts of the scripts. There are a few more glaring instances of inconsistency that also exist within the confines of what the prequels do and say in retrospect to the original trilogy- things that required them to do things such as rescript the conversation between the Emperor and Vader in The Empire Strikes Back. The Star Wars prequels are narrative and tonal catastrophe's and should you think that "The Last Jedi" is the worst of the 10 theatrically released Star Wars films I invite you to try to sit through Attack of the Clones or The Clone Wars animated feature.... "The Last Jedi" is not a perfect movie but it is far from the worst that this franchise has to offer.

As far as the Leia flying through the air... I admit... that it was silly and it took me out of The Last Jedi as much as some of the awkward humor did. I don't necessarily take umbrage with the idea of the Force being able to sustain someone in the vacuum of space, however, from an execution stand-point, it's a little awkward to have had Leia get sucked out of the ship just to "Force" herself back to the same location she was in. I think that there could have possibly been a better way to illustrate her connection to the force without requiring her to zip through the air like how she did.

Just my two cents.
