I think this edition looks great overall, the slip will be awesome. However, I've stopped collecting/extremely picky when it comes to FAC now. Blind buys are no longer an option because at $40+ a pop it's way too pricey (miss those 599-699czk).

I understand they're a business and they can set whatever prices, but honestly WWA steelbooks dressed up and sold at the same price very similar to WEA editions from other retailers is getting very annoying and is not good enough for me anymore.

It feels lazy from my point of view to take a steelbook that is available practically world wide and add a custom slip to it (the stuff inside the steel, booklet ect is fodder, we all know that) and charge premium price.

Granted, FACs slips are top quality and evolve way faster than other retailers. I'd like to see FAC ditch WWA steels and only do WEAs. It'd make paying $40+ mean more, to me anyway.

I am sad I have to feel this way now :( best of luck to those that want this

I'll be this guy again: it is not normal that this is priced at 899 CZK.

Let's say it's priced like a new film (steelbook has been out since January 19 though), it still only contains a single BD disc!

Both The Martian and Everest were 899 CZK, they had an extra 3D disc- and it was still overpriced because Jurassic World was 799 CZK & also had a 3D disc and similar goodies.
The only times FA correctly priced items at 899 CZK were Exodus and Terminator 5 (two extra discs: a bonus disc and a 3D disc).

For the past few months, FilmArena's pricing has become incoherent. I'm very happy with their products, but it used to be clearly cheaper than Korean retailers and now they're catching up. :dunno:

And AFAIK, FilmArena have given no reason for that price hike. I'm looking at the invoices in my PM box, and Edward Scissorhands on February 21, 2016 was the last FAC release to have a coherent price (699 CZK). After that it's always been at least 100 CZK more than it should be, or even pretty clearly 200 CZK too expensive :coffee: (Independence Day).

It's a very real trend and it hasn't been addressed by FilmArena- they know they can charge 100 CZK more for each release for no reason and people will still pay, but they could have given a bogus reason to try and justify it, unless they thought we wouldn't notice.

I held out on getting this steelbook in case there'd be a special edition, I didn't expect it to be this expensive, but I still signed up for the GB as always very appreciated.
I thought I was losing my mind. Been a while since I've bought FA, but I always thought one of the good things about them was the fair pricing. This release is very expensive. I :drool:LOVED:drool: the movie and expect this will be the best edition released, but I'm having second thoughts about joining the group buy with that price. :dunno:

I like the package, love the Lenti, 5 Flip-Flop image will be great. But the price is to high and I hate that the Directors Cut is not included, I thought all Disc Worldwdie would have both Versions.

I guess they increase the price because they have seen the secondary marked and simply want to make the money themself and maybe want to reduce resellers this way. Anyway I guess soon we will see an Edition for 999czk which would be really stupid.

I haven't seen the film yet, is there too much difference between both versions?

A blind buy at the moment the Hubby will KILL me :wow: .

He has been so fantastic about our 2 lady Chinchilla's coming home and setting up a Lady Lair for them I told him I would cut back even more :arghh: .

So two living breathing little critters have had to come first :notworthy:  .

The score card now is

Kids 2 - Rabbits 2

Degus 2 - Chinchilla Boys 3

Adults 2 - Chinchilla Girls 2

:D :D .

GOOD LUCK AND LOVE TO ALL from the Zoo    .

Anybody else want to chime in with having seen the extended cut? I thought it was awful compared to the theatrical.

You're doing yourself a favour by not buying a copy with the director's cut.

this being expensive premium release and not having both cuts is IMO stupid. I do not care about cards, posters etc, I care about the movie and various cuts of it. well I'm #156 on GB so it just might be I don't get to have this...

Hey, now...
Hey, now now. What is this corrosion, Nef?!

@SweetJsp I have not seen the Movie yet as well, but when a Movie has two Versions I always watch the longer one, so it is dissapointing when it will not be included, especially since I don`t plan to buy another edition.

I agree with you on that, and considering that this is supposed to be a special edition, it should include at least the largest, or even both versions.
