Had I not already bought the previous UK steel (which is better imo), I'd have grabbed this. The 4K doesn't exactly help the film though, so that's no boon for it either.

I did wonder how this movie would have benefitted from 4k... I gotta say ED2 does look noticeably better in 4k.

Erm, well, it looks as good as it's ever going to, but that's still not particularly great. The film had essentially no budget and was shot on very cheap 16mm stock, so it doesn't lend to the format, but it is what it is. ED2 does look much better, agreed, but that had a higher budget, and it's a 35mm 1.85.1 4K scan.
 
I don’t have a desire to see this in 4K, not sure what they can do to improve on the BD.
Different art on the other hand may have got me interested….

As I have not seen either in 4K I can’t comment but I am pretty sure that you could tart up 28 Days later over Evil Dead, just down to age and budget for the time.
Neither will ever look great without some amazing technology involved.
