Ain’t no way this is turning out better than the original glossy and bossed zavvi and incredible cine museum steels. They’re the best around for the film and the only 2 worth having. Even though it pains me to say a nice thing about CM

I strongly suspect you are right as this new one is nice with gloss and debossed title but the front has been to cropped compared to the picture of your zavvI original.

I hadn't realised this steelbook was different from the original, interesting differences especially on the back. I would have liked to have seen a version which used the front's dead space in the bottom right corner for the film title but the big title across the top works pretty well in fairness.

The back is the same as the Titans release I think.

Did ANYONE receive there zavvi orders for the Goonies and the others in this WB wave ?, I find it hard to believe the stock allocation excuse, no other retailers had any issues as far as i'm aware. It sounds to me like maybe zavvi haven't been paying their suppliers and they have been refused deliveries. (don't get me started on the pokemon cards scandals with them...)

Honestly zavvi are really terrible, I no longer use them due to damaged orders and their appalling customer service. I see now why THG (the hut group) got rid of them, I wonder if the management buyout is going smoothly.....

Make zavvi aware of your opinions and give them a trustpilot review.

I’m starting to wonder about zavvi these days they give you a dispatch email but yet up to 22 days plus they decide to send them, they keep saying they are on way and once through customs they will track funny how try are actually just leaving uk now.
It’s been like this these past months but my latest wave of purchases have been the worst. I have always got to chase them up to send them.

And like you the whole wave of steels from wb canceled as well.

They cancelled my orders for V For Vendetta & Blade Runner but The Goonies & Enter The Dragon have been dispatched apparently.

So either they oversold their allocation or it was cut.

I only have a couple of orders with Zavvi that I can't easily replace but I'd be lying if I said this hasn't got me a little concerned about Zavvi in general.

All mine were cancelled, can they afford to pay the supplier? I think it's bs.
Never got Lawrence of Arabia either, just cancelled.

That steel seems cursed, insane for how many times it's been released people still struggle to find it.
I really don't see what Sony is up to with Lawrence. It's clearly the studios number 1 prestige title. To my knowledge it's their only Steelbook to get a second reprint. On both occasions lots of people who pre-ordered have had their orders cancelled. I ordered from HMV on the first reprint and it was cancelled. Ordered again on this second reprint and I got lucky this time and it arrived and everything is good. To me this all shows Sony there is good demand for this title, something you would think they already know. Surely that should bring about a standard 4K release with slipcover (replica of the Columbia Classics slipcover). Personally I would have preferred that as I don't overly love this new art, but it was pretty much the only sensible way to get it in 4K. I already have the previous UK Steelbook (the pop art one) and the HDZeta one which is my favourite and is absolutely gorgeous.
