I do like the look of this, despite the fact it wasn't pure white.
For the quality of the film though, I wouldn't shell out the £18 Zavvi are asking for.

Exactly dude. £18 for an old title is just ridiculous... especially when it's a film I don't exactly love. Zavvi need to lower their prices, not their print runs.

Can't agree more. I got 3:10 yuma for 16.50 delivered, two week after it went OOS.

I have recently seen Aviator and Beetle Juice go for £11 delivered.

Had this been a standard release from Zavvi, it would not have sold out, especially when it's another "white is really silver" release.

The scalpers are probably getting sweaty brows right now!

I'm completely done with them, except on films I really really want and with the exception of V for Vendetta it's none of them. I already own Scream on uncut laserdisc the rest are just back catalogue dross!

Print run means nothing as these will all be dirt cheap on eBay soon enough. If these were in high runs they would be down to a tenner in 6 months or less.

Agreed. A week after I bought Swingers for £16 it went for £8 inc postage. A right kick in the teeth. Thankfully Zavvi cancelled 10+ of my pre-orders today for using the rewardz points I was given due to a glitch on their site. So I guess that was a sign to buy these off eBay instead.

the difference between white and silver on a steelbook is the difference between success and failure. seems zavvi and/or their partners havent figured that out yet.

this is was a steelbook of an average film that had great potential based on artwork alone. now its just an average steelbook of an average film.

Yep, as I said when I finally had it in my hands, yet some people are still saying it's silver. I think it looks pretty good. Would have been better pure white, but it still looks nice.

I'm undecided on this, it would have looked better white but it doesn't look to be plain silver. I wish this was full gloss but it looks like a more half gloss half matte finish. I think I need to see it in hand to decide!

I think part gloss is okay as it will lead to less fingerprints. Monsters Inc and UP Futureahop has a similar finish. (Not too glossy)

Just got mine and it's bent out of shape. That makes 2 out of my last 3 steelbooks from Zavvi arriving with big dents.

Looking at it with the plastic still on, I wouldn't even call if off white, it's very similar to the Toy Story 2 steel which was meant to be white and turned up that weird powdery silver.
