Not to be contrarian but...

I'm really liking this, I'm a sucker for Lionsgate so probably a bad judge. Regardless of the art choices, just getting this film in 4k is a big win as I feel like it's not a super popular title.

Does anyone think we’ll ever get a 4K of The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus from them? Would love a steel for it. Film suits some of the weirder or more unique films of theirs kinda like this title and I suppose artworks could be interesting depending on the artist…. Please not Mexifunk. And on top it’s Heaths last film, huge cast, Gilliam so I could see it potentially happening at some point

Liking the artwork on this but yeh agree with @Flloydo. Artwork looks like its for a different movie
It’s a great illustration. Depp looks like Depp but not Depp in the Ninth gate! More like Depp from The Tourist. The pages from the book look more like Tarot cards too. It’s a fine piece but for the wrong film imo. Inside is fantastic tho

It's been so long I'd forgotten but does his hair look like that illustration anywhere in the film?

Kinda. Personally I think it’s shorter. And his face is thinner in it with near stark facial hair.
On the steel he looks like that in The Tourist

It was back in 2018 I did a concept for this film and while I kinda prefer the idea I had in keeping it in the style of a book, I don’t mind what they’ve actually gone with. Just happy it’s getting a new release, NOT happy it’s limited to the USA though.

I think now on my concept I would’ve faded the design on the back of the steelbook a bit as the white is very jarring but for those who never saw it:

I've restocked the group buy - if anyone is after this, I put a few more copies up for reservation.
