It's a good film, and I like the look of this as a steel. But I would seriously love if they had of chosen P.T. Anderson's film Magnolia - a film which even Anderson considers it his best work and one he will simply never top. It's my favourite too, of all time. I'll get this though as I'm a bit Anderson mad, to me he's a maverick.

Magnolia is probably my least favourite of his... but then I've only seen it once. I didn't even rate There Will Be Blood until I saw it a second/third time. Then again, the only film of his I loved the very first time I saw it was Boogie Nights, mainly because I thought it felt like a Tarantino flick.

If they do release more PTA steels though, then I'd definitely be willing to buy them if the artwork is as creative as the one for this (TWBB).

I agree they are not films that immediately grabbed me, but Magnolia needs to be seen several times. It's worth watching for his references to 8.2 (there is meaning and purpose to these hidden messages but it's also wonderfully playful and quirky) and that is not something I got until my third view.

This will sell out lot faster than Pain & Gain
There Will Be Blood is better film and more mainstream than Pain & Gain

In the steelbook collecting world interest tends to correlate to print run quantity. The lower the print run, the more avid the interest. If either this or Pain or Gain had been 4k runs, both would be in stock a very long time.

So how come 'Bad Grandpa' hasn't sold out yet?

I would put it down to price and the fact that it is a comedy. As i'm sure you have noticed, many collectors feel comedy films aren't worthy of Steelbooks (or Blu-ray for that matter), I have no idea why.

Er, yes. I was just challenging the generalisation that the print run is all important, and film quality is irrelevant.

I got up and went straight to my computer to see how fast this might have sold out or if I still had a chance. Wow, it's still not release for PreOrder. What happen? Are we all just sitting here waiting? :movie:

Really excited for this steel. Easily one of my favorite movies, it was #1 on my steelbook wishlist so definitely hope I don't miss out on this.

The waiting is driving me crazy
I cant spend whole day checking a website
I need to eat :D

Zavvi have taken over my life and my bank account
