Umm, the link in the OP just takes me to the zavvi home page.. Am I missing something?

Oh and BTW, I would buy both Thor and CA without blinking. I have the entire set (more than 1 version of IM, Thor and CA) bought at higher than retail prices, and I would love to add to those. Now, did someone say there was an IM release on the cards also? Please share the link, whenever its available :)

A complete lack of imagination by the individual responsible for repeating past releases.

Of all the incredible movies available to put on steelbook, they choose previously released ones to try and piggyback on others past successes. Thor and Captain America have been done, and if I was after a copy of either movie I'd want an original of the masterpiece, not a second rate re-hash like this.

...or maybe people can't spend 150+ dollars on a movie and they know a lot of people want this. These re-releases aren't preventing other movies from coming out - it seems like new ones are being announced every day.

I don't know, I bet his imagination is pretty vivid with images of the new boat he is gonna buy with all the cash.

Look at it from a marketing standpoint. Thor 2 and Captain America Winter soldier are coming out soon, and if they see that people are paying upwards of $200 for these titles, so figure for every one that sells at that cost, there are 10 people who would have bought it at release price. That's alot of potential sales..

I see your point but as Chip mentioned earlier Play.com use this practice with re-releasing Iron Man 1 & 2 and many more and received much praise from new collectors and old. I don't look at it as second rate re-hash but as something that could potentially be as attractive as the original. I own the OG THOR Steel and as a Thor Fan can't wait to place the Zavvi Ex right beside it! THANKS ZAVVI!!

Zavvi thanks for bringing out yet another awesome thor exclusive:scat:

Yup! Thanks Zavvi! Keep em coming. It's great to have a company so dialed into what the consumer wants.

I wish more companies took polls and asked the consumers what they wish the company would make. Companies all the time pump out crap and then use marketing to convince us we need it. How about asking your customers what they want most?

IM 1+2 had never been released in the UK.

Individuals, like the one now in a position of control on releases at Zavvi, should be escorted to the exit door... fast. This is the very reason many give up collecting, it's not rocket science. The way to grow sales would be to retain as many collectors as possible, by displaying correct and proper propriety, as well as encouraging new collectors by releasing new amazing movies.

Rant over, I move aside for others to now share their views.
