Nice. Happy enoigh with that. OG art on the steel and the far better (than the US steel) 4K amaray art on the slip. Sorted.

Not so positive that Universal didn't comment on the finish of the steel or slip this time around though... it may mean a flat matte steel and no spot gloss on the slip o_O

Oh wow, I'm definitely happy with that!
I hope the transfer isn't 'green' either, so I wouldn't have to buy the Turbine release as well...

The green sky is really only in one scene, and it is the way the director wanted it to initially look. Yeah, I don’t love it myself, but I can live with it.

I wasn't going to jump on this to be honest. Now I might. Looking great. Picking it up for nostalgia mostly.
I vividly remember the summer of 1996 when this came out alongside The Rock.
First holiday away as a teenager with my friends.
Passing my driving test and driving us all over into France and then down into Spain. I don't know what my parents were thinking letting me do that a few months after passing my driving exam
No way I'd let my daughter do that at 17.
Hell, no.

That's what I thought as well, while watching. It's just the one scene (where in all fairness, when I saw it, I thought **** me thats green!), and that's about it really.

The whole "green" colour grading is being blown way out of proportion. It's not one of Cameron's teal grades throughout the entire presentation. It looks fantastic otherwise, and if that's how Jan De Bont wanted it, then that's that.

I thought they did a great job with the visuals.. but the audio was some of the best I’ve ever experienced.

Jan De Bont always wanted it to look that way but it wasn't possible before now. I think it is a nice thing that the directors vision can now be seen so many years later. After some research and listening to those who've been around tornadoes/twisters... it is a possibility that the green sky can happen and is an accurate representation of such events.

Hope reading the recent article makes you and anyone doubting feel a bit better about checking it out buddy.

Also, that set just looks super nice!

The new extra included on the 4K release The Legacy of Twister: Taken by the Wind featurette goes into detail about this.

I rewatched Twister on bluray tonight ( the sound was already good so can't wait to hear the Atmos track people raving about). I just watched the Twister: revisited mini-doc afterwards too, which I enjoyed, so definitely looking forward to seeing that @paulboland Thanks!

You can pretty much guarantee it'll be the same as WB's disc.
That's what I said on the first page of this thread, then that always lingering hope creeped up again.

Not in today’s Europe, no, not with those immigration 'laws' in effect...

I appreciate him maybe trying to do something he heard someone say sometimes happens, but I also read in there that the guy got all new toys, and got carried away. Just because you can alter something now, doesn't mean you should. This all reminds me a bit of Lucas and Cameron.

Here's a comparison in HDR - some shots look amazingly better, mostly in the beginning and a couple at the end, but the whole middle is too green, too dark, too wrong. I don't care, I'm watching my Blu-ray.

P.S. It doesn't really say which BD this comparison used, the old one, the remastered one, or the new one, that comes with this UHD...
