1. It'll start with releasing editions for lower prices due to the lack of discs. As soon as these releases will become a standard prices will be raised to the level where they're now and you all will be wondering where it went 'wrong'
2. This is exactly the route Disney etc. wants them to take; watching new releases on streaming services in lower quality (cheaper for them) as we're used to from physical media (much higher bitrates for video & audio) and having you buy empty boxes to showcase.... empty boxes!!!
3. Releasing packages for products which do not exist....!!!! It's like having a garage built for a car which will never be released and owned by you.

There are already 4(!!!!) discless releases announced in a very short time and it's not to late to stand up against this collecting blasphemy by one (including Blufans two) of the highest anticipated premium steelbook retailers

You're right, but the prices will rise anyway, for releases with discs too.
Also, even though I'm fighting within myself about these, people do buy posters for movies, because they like them, to show their love for them. They're without discs.
People buy models and figures of things, cars, characters from movies - they're without discs.
People buy artbooks, lobby cards for movies they're fans of, those don't include the discs either.

So, I think a Fullslip box that holds a thick, much thicker booklet than now, more like Second Sight produce, and character, poster, art cards, but WITHOUT a steelbook or digipack or any kind of case for discs AT ALL - if there are none in existence, and isn't expected to be - then that I will be buying!

The problem would be if the poster came without a poster. But NFTs have proven that people will spend large amounts of money on nothing, so I don't see the issue with the discless steelbook. Also, the fact that Disney is approving TV series releases by Manta and BF makes me assume that the official disc releases are on the way soon—though probably in some convoluted subscription system where, for example, you'd have to buy Obi-Wan and Boba Fett first if you want to buy Andor.

This all started because of d!ckfather too.

He always posts the Manta steel designs once they have been posted here, did the same with WandaVision. Thing is it got more traction in the comments with people screwing about it and the lack of physical discs than any of his other posts combined (except anything trending that he steals and posts like it’s his own witty mind - i don’t count them) including the bullsh!t about him having a Henry cavil interview that he apparently isn’t allowed to post because of lawsuits (LOL)

And it’s spiralled since then last week and went turbo In the last 24 hours because of those other bigger accounts and that bird brain bill.

So as for DF, he’s never seen such engagement. Probably blew his socks off getting all the comments under his post. Probably thought he was popular. As for Bill, he can just continue living his life by changing the first letter of his surname to a ‘C’

He’s fine when it comes to physical media releases, but it’s pretty clear he’s not really tuned into this hobby, but if it embarrasses companies enough to stop discless releases and hopefully get them to provide disks, I’d be thrilled.
