Hey all,

Use this thread to chat about all things steelbook. Chat away ...

In an undetermined amount of time (when I need to submit GB addresses) I will then conduct the giveaway via random.org using the Post #s in this thread.

Your entries could be 1 (if you post 1 time) or 100 if you post 100 times.

At that time, I will figure out who wins the free DL TDK Blufans Edition. If you already bought the DL, you will get yours for free as I will refund you. ;)

I will host the giveaway LIVE on my IG by rolling the virtual dice first, if it lands on 5 then I will randomize the numbers 5 times and whatever # it lands on that post count # is the winner.

Yeah, I thought it was everywhere like that.

Oversized, those tiny things?
This is oversized proper sized:

A bit explaining on why they're from all over the place - US, Australia, UK - and why the first disc of season 2 is a 'Volume 2':
First season was not released in its entirety for many years, there was only a 'best of' disc with 4 episodes, labeled as Volume 1. This was year 2000, when complete season sets weren't a practice yet. So, when they started releasing episodes in order and complete, starting with season 2, first of the 6 discs was Volume 2, and that continued until Volume 54 of the last disc of season 10.
Even with various sales, these cost about £15 each in UK, but were cheaper in Australia, where I started buying them.
First season came out later, in 2002, as a complete box, though still with all individual amarays, but about 2 years earlier in US, than everywhere else, thus it's a R1.

More and more special features were being added to these 'volumes', like Timeline to the Future, which would only appear in US in that 54 disc Complete Series box.

This is going for a while, so rest under spoiler.

Later they started boxing them, after all volumes came out individually, so I started waiting, till the whole season was out.

Looks like Farscape by this point. Speaking of which, I got more of it, than Stargate... nah, another time.
Impressive collection idd :thanks::thanks:
We should get stargate steelbooks, only seen an old steelbook version of the movie

I remember to this day, the first ever DVD I ever owned was Shrek 1
The Fifth Element over here, of course. :D Played it on my new 1998 Compaq PC DVD-Rom.
i picked up clerks 2 DVD just for the extras.
and some David Simon series that weren't/aren't available on Blu Ray.
also futurama and animaniacs.
I don't know, if first 4 seasons of Futurama were ever released on Blu-ray.

Yes, even if episodes are in semi-HD on UHD discs, they could fit whole season on one disc.
There are such German releases of "SD on BD" of Sliders and Robocop the Series.

If you guys could estimate how much money you have spent on physical media movies, what would it be?
Easily 10's of thousands.....
Yeah, I'm afraid to count. Lost track of how many discs I have about 10 years ago, but approximately 5000, and rarely any one release cost less than $15-20 shipped, even all the DVDs, that won't sell for $3 now, so at least $100k.
Some editions are worth more, than were paid for, but not sure it all balances out, and I wouldn't sell anyway.
What bothers me, looking at some old $1000 orders on Amazon, is just one of them from 2011 spent instead on BTC, could get me dozens of millions of dollars, and then I would have an actual warehouse for the collection.
