Hey all,

Use this thread to chat about all things steelbook. Chat away ...

In an undetermined amount of time (when I need to submit GB addresses) I will then conduct the giveaway via random.org using the Post #s in this thread.

Your entries could be 1 (if you post 1 time) or 100 if you post 100 times.

At that time, I will figure out who wins the free DL TDK Blufans Edition. If you already bought the DL, you will get yours for free as I will refund you. ;)

I will host the giveaway LIVE on my IG by rolling the virtual dice first, if it lands on 5 then I will randomize the numbers 5 times and whatever # it lands on that post count # is the winner.

What's up ?
The sky. Unless you made it into outer space, in which case we’d need proof.

Yea it also depends on what country you’re from and from which Amazon you are ordering from. I’m from the US and most of the Amazon.com steelbooks I have ordered have come in good condition. But I’ve been getting a lot of damaged steelbooks from Amazon.it lately
I guess you just have bad luck because I've had only received 1 damaged box from the back to the future hover board edition. Anything I ordered from Amazon outside the US comes to me in mint condition, I literally just received a mint steelbook from Amazon Germany last night.

He’s not alone. Germany, Italy, and UK have all been less than mint for me. I know I’m not alone. Unless they’ve improved their packaging, you should consider yourself lucky.

on steelbook damage in transit, if it's from a specialist retailer, the packaging is much better, whereas if it's from a mass market global retailer, much worse. in orther words, specialists care because replacements can mofe easily affect their bottom line; mass retailers don't, and it doesn't.

also, items sent to my work address arrive quicker and in better packaging nick than items sent to my home address. most suspicious...

Might be because delivery companies deliver businesses first before residential, at least that's what I do.

worst damage was Back to the Future boxset from bestbuy... outside was immaculate, all 3 steels inside had horrendous deep scratches all over :sorry:

No need to embellish damage to secure a refund or replacement. I've gotten damaged steels from Amazon and Zavvi. Took pics and attached to my complaint and got replacements for all of them. Even bought from a private seller on ebay and it had an awful spine slash. Sent a picture, got an apology, received a mint replacement and was told to keep the other. Indeed, in all instances I was told to keep the damaged item. Honestly, I don't get this lying thing. No honor in not being trustworthy. Kind of hope I just misunderstand the situation, or it was relayed poorly.

Those are ironpaks, they look so much better, than plastbooks with a sticker on the spine.
You keeping that bent horror?

On that one the seller was saying that I bent it myself because there was no way it could have gotten damaged from the plastic sleeve they shipped it in. So I had ebay step in and they issued me a full refund and the seller didn't want the damaged movie back so I still have it but only keeping it until I can find a better replacement for it.
