On Feb. 17 2015 we had a major blizzard through my neck of the woods (Maritimes, Canada) and this is a picture that NASA took from space.

As you can see (if you are familiar with the area) that PEI (Prince Edward Island), the little island in the middle of the picture, is almost completely buried in snow.
