Awesome responses to my query about the love/ hate of Lentis v Full Slips, thanks! I recently acquired my first HD Zeta (Batman v Superman Double Lenti) and didnt even know the Lenti is “loose” because I didn’t open it! That’s good to know because I plan to pick up How To Train Your Dragon, Mad Max, and Wonder Woman very soon and didn’t know that was a “thing”. If you keep it sealed I suppose that’s not an issue but can see it being a much bigger deal if you do. I suppose I’ll always be a sucker for anything 3D whether its 3D movies or Lentis but I have started purchasing more Full slips lately because all of Blufans recent Full Slips have been so awesome. I always like to hear others perspectives because it usually ends up broadening mine!![]()
We have sections in the Steelbook chat/ support section where you can find answers to most of these questions. We have the Steelbook protection thread which shows what cases to buy for which Steelbook and also the retailer thread which shows the different retailers that are out there.Just reading through some of these comments and was wondering if somebody could create a 'guide' thread, or a single locked post about all things steelbook.
I'm not new to collecting but I don't tend to spend beyond more than what I require when you think about steelbook 'side orders' as I like to call them.
For example;
- The different types of lenti covers and which retailer tends to lean towards a specific type
- The different types of slipcovers - full, quarter, lenti etc.
- The types of protective cases (with links where to buy them) for each type of steelbook and slipcover
- The different types of stands to display your steelbooks
- All the main retailers for steelbooks
- Any other areas of interest
Showing photographic examples would also be ideal i.e. 'X Steelbook fits X slipcover' etc.
There might be something like this already that I have overlooked but if not I know it's a lot of work and most would say unnecessary to do if a lot of people know this
stuff already but you always get new collectors and it would be a nice guide that you could keep coming back to on the forum rather than asking a lot of questions all the time.
As much as a lot of people are experts on all things steelbook related, I still see the same questions pop up time and time again and a useful little guide
all in one place would certainly be ideal, for myself also.

Will this be glossy?Sorry. They look meh to me thanks to super matte finish.
Ah, ok.....I will tell my wife it will be another expensive month! This will be yes @rschiks

My point:Your point?![]()
I see...then the best edition will be the FNAC version which has 4K + 3D + 2DMy point:
Lgans says this will be THE steelbook edition to get unless someone comes along with something better.
You said 'already been done with Italian release'.
Now even if the Italian release was a better steelbook (which it's not), I'm only buying one edition of this movie. Why would I go for a single disc Italian edition when I could have this (which includes 3D)?
We were originally going by the steelbook design. I don't like the WWA steelbook, I prefer this one AND it includes the 3D. I have no need for 4K so I will probably edge towards this.....I see...then the best edition will be the FNAC version which has 4K + 3D + 2D

I thought so, well, then my other comment still stands. The Italian/Australian or German 4K wins. At least for the artwork design.+1. The discussion was around the Steelbook itself. It is clear that HDZeta WEA Steelbook will be the one to get (at least for now). Yes, outside the boxset, it won't be fully loaded which is a shame but in terms of Steelbook artwork and finishing this is the winner so far.
Saw this in 4K last night, isn't the best 4K release I have to say, no where near as nice as BVS is (a true 4K release)
because of the severe colour grading process this went though to achieve the soft period look.

Watched Suicide Squad in 4K the other night as well and that barely looks an upgrade either![]()
