Current packaging is a cardboard mailer with the steelbook usually wrapped in either a layer of bubble wrap or foam

I now have confirmation that I can announce ... for all those worried about future packaging from Zavvi. My Play contact has been working with zavvi as well on this mission for better packaging. Between the 3 of us and the future comments from this community after its in place I'm sure it will be go over well.

1/19/2013 Member Nyvo tweeted Zaavi about packaging concerns. They said they may be looking into alternate packaging methods.

Often wondered this for Ireland too.
I never had any customs issues with Zavvi for orders shipped to Ireland and that was long after UK left EU
If that has changed since then I'm not seen anyone from Ireland mention issues.

My last order shipped by Zavvi Ireland was in January 2023 the Halloween Ends SteelBook.

Zavvi orders to Ireland from 2021 used to end up shipped from zavvi warehouse in warrington using FedEx® International Connect (FIC) (Fedex Cross Border) and then deliverd by Fastway when arrived in Ireland I don't know if it's the same now as I not had a order shipped since 2023

I don't know what courier Zavvi Ireland now use.
The only order I done since 2023 with Zavvi is the arrow video SteelBook of Desperado that's a Zavvi exclusive in UK/Ireland I will find out in August 2024 what courier will be doing delivery
 
Had a number of packages from zavvi today yes I still use them and have since 2010 or there about.
They did stop got a whole here in Australia but it was good when they started again as I would not buy my steels from anyone else more so Amazon and packaging was crap.
Yea zavvi can be hit of miss at times but I not had that many damaged some minor and less only a few badly damaged.
They did pack well back in the day then they used white boxes which I loved and then they did wrap around boxes or the silly square boxes but was mostly wrap around which seem to work.
Most orders these past few years have been dispatched and tracking quickly updated and moving on there way.
Recently I had about 10 items down as dispatched but no movement in tracking in over a week.
I ask them what’s going on and quickly after that they was showing picked up and moving on there way.
So first time I have had to chase up them to get my orders actually moving.

They got delivered today and it does scare the crap out of me sometimes when I open them up what they might be like.
Everything was all good apart from one steel both steels was side by side in a wrap around boxe I check over first steel all is good and in the process of looking over other I was like **** bent in the middle and crushed at front and debts everywhere. Not had a steelbook arrive like this in a long time.
I don’t get how this one was so bad and other was ok.
Now that I have contacted them let’s see what comes of it.
They probably ask me if I want part refund I have said politely no bull **** and send me a replacement asap, and don’t even ask me to send back as it’s to much from Australia. But yes these things have happened once or twice before and normally they was ok and sent replacement but have a feeling I have a fight in my hands with this one.
When stuff arrives from them ok it’s great but I hate this part when someone has been damaged and it ain’t minor either.
My message will probably go unanswered for days or weeks then they will drag it out with discount off where I will tell them where to go.
Then they will try and say to send back to get replacement again they can bugger off as well as the shipping costs to do this makes no sense and I would probably have to pay up front.
So fingers crossed I get the right person and get a replacement on way asap.
I have put it across I’m a good customer and buy regular etc but I’m sure that ain’t going to make much difference.
There are other ways to get some of this stuff I’m getting closer to home but it means I pay a good bit more.
So I do a mix of buying they sand stuff within Australia and stated to buy more again from uk.

But how they treat me with this very damaged steel could be the one that goes bigger you I’m done I get elsewhere but it will be harder in my wallet if I do this.

I take they don’t have customer services opened over weekend so probably be Monday now.

I actually thought all these goodies arrived at ones and wow all are good but there was that one shd yes one I need to have replaced asap got various reasons.
