Looks good, more like a satin finish. They get a free pass with B&W interior art as it looks more stylish that way.

Totally blew me away. Great movie. (And the brutality and gore is on par with anything the Koreans can come up with)

I quite like the artwork but it would have looked so much nicer with a title on the front. It actually looks better with the j-card on (apart from the ratings), as evidenced by XasharK's picture from another site:

Spectacularly grotesque artwork (up there with DRILLER KILLER LOL) and looks pretty good to me in that finish but like others will wait for a reduction in price.
Had this image been on a full size 3D lenticular I'd have probably paid full price.

In conclusion, got to agree with the designers/Scanavo on the choice of finish :-
"This special SteelBook® edition has been treated with a matte varnish to reflect the horror story in the artwork".

Couldn't be on a black background but looks even more dramatically impressive:-
