As one of the biggest lovers of this film, I'm extremely happy to announce and have had a small part in this steelbook's inception. :D

:drool::drool::drool:

All are standard G2/Blu-ray sized SBs, and have front / rear / interior artwork with no logos or certs printed on the covers. They will be double play (dvd & bd) on all the single films - Limited to 4,000 of each and priced very favourably!!

PURCHASE HERE

Ok so I am new to collecting steel books and needed some input. I just picked this up on ebay for $70.00 brand new in mint condition including shipping. More than I would normally pay, but this is my favorite movie of all-time. My question is did I pay to much? What do these usually run? I saw a few others on ebay but that were priced higher, but nobody was bidding on them.

I have only been collecting steelbooks for a couple of years (and nowhere near as seriously as some fellows here!), but Braveheart is one I picked up without really knowing anything about steelbooks, naively assuming they were available pretty much everywhere and in vast quantities. Glad you have a copy, and I echo what others have been saying; it truly is an awesome looking steelbook. Enjoy!

Thanks for all the input. You won't have to worry about me outbidding you guys on too many steels in the future, this was just one my so call holy grails. Love the artwork and its in my top five of all-time favorite movies if not my favorite. This is a triple dip for me on this movie.

With the arrival of the new Braveheart release, am I the only one who prefers the artwork choices on Play's original?

So it may not be debossed, but I love the artwork (I think even the inside art is better on this one) and the reflection when the light hits it. I also think it's criminal that there is no pic anywhere in sight of the central character on the new Steelbook.....

The only downside of this one for me is the finish, it's one of those cheap 'rough' matte finishes. That said it still destroys the completely unnecessarily re-release as others have stated.

Plays.com version yes was nice
But there was a problem with Play.com release was it was missing the extras disc
It only had
Disc 1 Blu-ray Film
Disc 2 DVD Film
extras were missing

I bought the USA Steelbook which has 2 Blu-ray Discs
Yes its not as nice as the either UK steelbooks and USA release has no inside art but the USA version is best for overall extras a better and longer making of documentary

I have the New UK Steelbook arriving next week

Most good films always get re-released and with steelbooks now lot more popular it was always possible this would happen
There was a lot of fans of the film who never got to buy the previous UK Steelbook
They now can buy a UK Steelbook with the extras included

You may see other films get re issues as new steelbooks with different artwork and its no different to any film getting a re-release

I'd not long bought the special UK amaray edition, so I just knicked the extras disc from that and popped it in the steelbook, then sold the amaray with the DVD from the steelbook. I think I actually, somehow, got my money back completely.

That's exactly what I did too!!!! :hilarious:
