This brazil is so boring, part of the game they just didnt know what to do with the ball. Alves must of thrown away the ball so many times.

Chile looked good majority of the game, I hope they win in the penalty shootouts.

Jara to the post!! Its over!

Alexis shot his penalty like he hasnt shot a penalty in his life. But the worst part is that Chile showed everyone Brazil's shortcomings.

I feel sad for Chile, they gave everything.

But having a Worldcup without the host/homecountry isn't nice either.

We'll see you in the finals if you even get there Brazil.

The Dutch Lions will be waiting ;-)

yeah it was a great game, thought Chile had won it in the last minutes with the shot that hit the crossbar! Exciting penalty shootout as well, happy Brazil got through! :scat:

Brazil needs to step up big time if they want to win this. My money is on the Germans.

The worst part is that Chile showed everyone Brazil's shortcomings.

I think Croatia, Mexico AND Chile all showed Brazil's evident shortcomings. And yet they keep going in the competition... they've been very lucky tonight, I wasn't rooting for anyone in particular but I screamed my heart out when the ball hit the post at the 120th minute, poor Chile EEK!.

Nope.... Van Persie's first goal against Spain is more unique ;-)

First :

Second, here's a goal that literally made history :D :

And another very special goal (not a shabby one either), it was scored while the referee whistled the end :D :

But sure, I'll admit Van Persie's Flying Dutchman was pretty great :D.

So we both agree ;-)

1. Van Persie (The Netherlands)
2. Cahill (Australia)
3. James (Colombia)

Van Persie (The Netherlands) :goldbig:
Cahill (Australia) :silverbig:
James (Colombia) :bronzebig:
