This thread has been created to provide insight for folks trading and buying. Sometimes knowing that a guy/gal has some or MANY successful trades/sales is good peace of mind.

IF THE PERSON DOESN'T HAVE LOTS OF GOOD TRADER RATING FEEDBACK, AND YOU DONT KNOW THEM, THEN PRIVATE MESSAGE a Trading Moderator. We can try to get you the info you need to feel safe and or make a safe trade/purchase!

As we all know, trading is at your own risk. However, we are able to stop many deals from turning sour if you enable us. We have one bad person who has been a scam artist at many HT/Blu-ray sites besides ours.

The posts below are from when this was a Good Traders/Bad Traders list ... from the date this OP has been updated ... this thread will only serve as a Buyer Beware and Hall of Shame for those bad traders out there. If you need info on good traders view their trader rating under their avatar in the post bit (to the left) or PM a Mod.

I suggest you PM a mod for any deal over $75 if you dont know the person, regardless if they have 3 successful feedbacks etc. This is YOUR community as much as it is OURS, and we'll make the time everytime to make it as safe as possible for all.

Added 1/23/2012:

Just a general reminder - If you are experiencing difficulty with a trade at our site, feel free to contact a Trade Moderator, and we can provide suggestions on how to resolve the matter, if the trade took place at our site.

If, despite repeated attempts to resolve the trade/contact the trader, you do not receive any communication, or items, etc, please use the Feedback system in place at the site, or the rest of the community will not be aware of issues with traders. In addition, you have a limited time frame to file Paypal disputes, so please familiarize yourself with that process, just in case, to further protect yourself. In addition, the Staff will take action against accounts for repeat offenders if absolutely necessary.

is the poster of that video a member here? I feel bad :(

I don't think he is because in the video other people have told him that Fasteddie is banned on bd.com and on here and it seemed like new info to him. I could be wrong though.

Yeah I've been following that whole situation with Fasteddie. Thanks to biscuitnoir for bringing it up on one of his videos. Fasteddie has been banned here on HDN, eBay has put a hold(?) On his account and both of his YouTube channels have been wiped out. Sad story on how he scammed Robbie for $500 and another member from BRF for $250-$275 for a Lot of 3D movies. He still hasn't been banned over on BRF.:(:sly:

Yeah it's just sad that people like this exist and would just continue to scam people and pretend like nothing ever happened.

I believe Andy had already banned this member but I just wanted to make sure everyone knows about what he did. As I know some people on here was or is friends with this guy. His name is Fasteddie or 1quickgt is another user name he goes by. Check out this youtuber's vid on how he got shafted $500 by mr. Fasteddie.

Video Here

i feel so bad watching that video

Yeah I know me too. I felt real bad for this guy. I mean the fact that he forgave him. Wow...i think if it would have happened to me I would have driven to NY to put him in a casket.
I guess the best thing for everyone to do is just spread the word so that there wouldn't be anymore victims. :(

I just counted the amount of money I lost to scammers in the past 6 years and it is a staggering 220 EUR + 35 GBP + 400 USD.:(

Truly appalling that people have the guts to rip someone off just like that.

0 in eBay and the rest in forums.

Wow, I just watched the entire video. That really sux. I am not sure I could handle it so calmly, but I'm glad he's going to the cops. I know not much will probably be done, but at least it's reported.

It's stories like this that always make me sad. :(

Fasteddie has been banned on this forum - we heard about some problems with a sale of 3D blus and banned him shortly thereafter - even though he never made trades here. So I think he was banned before this stuff happened to Robbie on BD.

That being said, if any member here sees suspicious behavior on other forums, feel free to contact a trading mod. We can't help settle disputes on other forums, but we can look out for members here if we have information about the issue.

If anyone receives a payment or an item from an Eric Negrete, please let us know.

I don't believe he is a member here, but it doesn't hurt to be safe.

Thank you.

Thank you.

He bought some SteelBooks off me last year. Transaction went smoothly, which is shocking to me looking through that scam website. Lemme know if I can help.

Hey guys - I know who this guy was on the forums here - Brian Fernandez, aka Steelbook Pimp Slap. We banned him a while back. But he also goes by Eric Negrete, and I have a report that he joined a group buy on another forum under this same alias. :)

We've told him not to return to these forums. But he could return.

So if you get a payment from an account with one of these names, please let us know.

Ya, that handle sounds like him. I think what saved me from his BS was my customary practice of over packing the Steels with silly amounts of bubble wrap, etc., and of taking and sending photos of the packing process. I do it just to give my fellow traders confidence while they're waiting for their Steels, but i can only assume that it would have been evidence against any claim he would have made against me.

For those of you that sell on ebay, keep an eye out for "chopper123456". He will purchase a steelbook from you, and if he removes the shrink-wrap and there happens to be a dent, BAM he gives you negative feedback.

Check out his feedback left for others. 6 out of 11 purchases he's given negative feedback. I'm the latest.

I messaged him and asked him to send me a photo of the dent and also the box if possible (to see whether there was damage in transit). Those who have traded with me know how well I pack my stuff. Anyway, he never replied. Bad luck for him, as I was going to try help in some way to remedy the situation. However after checking his history of feedback he looks to be a troublesome buyer. Unfortunately ebay won't remove the negative feedback either.

I really hope he's on the forum and reads this.

I think this guy is chopper123 from this forum and at bluray.com. If I can remember he's after a lot of high valued rare steelz.

He really wanted this IM and bidded but the seller cancelled his bid obviously felt something was fishy :hilarious:

avoid mikeyt912 on ebay

purchased the clone wars steelbook from him. he marked it as shipped with media mail with no tracking number (seriously, who ships media mail with no tracking for such a high valued item, so i predicted that the item will never come). I was right, the item never came, and seller doesn't respond to any messages, so he most definitely never shipped it. ebay case pending

this is weird, because he has over 1000 feedback on ebay, and prior to this month, he doesnt have any negative feedback. but this month alone he's racked up quite a lot. it seemed like he just suddenly stopped caring and decided to scam everybody

hes sold a lot of steelbooks on ebay, i dont know whether he is a member of this forum or not

Not trying to defend, but maybe something happened? It seems to be all this month. I've wondered if something were to happen to me (hospital of unexpected life event), what would happen to my auctions that were up and or shipped. My wife would have no idea what to do. Now, if I was selling FS IM, I would hope I had a backup plan. EEK!

Just seems odd that it went from shipping (lost) to not shipping at all. The last people to leave positive feedback, bought the items in April or early May.
