I don’t care if they change skin colours in the MCU as long as the actor is decent but at the same time it is a bit weird
I’m so sick of these F4 casting rumors I hope they go completely against the grain, regardless what the comics dictate. I know Lupita’s in BP2, but her complexion is the polar opposite of what the community is expecting rite now, so I just threw out her name.
But we’ll see this Saturday what’s gonna happen, Disney’s been race swapping a lot lately.
The casting rumours aren’t just with F4. It’s anything comic book tbh whether it’s Marvel or DC. As long as they are a good actor I don’t mind
They made Jonny black in the last one and that didn’t bother me.
Sue is Latina in the poor F4 films (I think Alba is Latina anyway?) and there was never any issue with that
The problem is the changes just for diversity and not because of their acting talents. Which is why I said if they are a good enough actor then fair enough. It’s a shame it can’t be all equal however the original characters are white.... so I think they should stick to source material but then MJ in the new spidey isn’t a ginger white girl and that didn’t bother me at all. Having black elves in the new lord of the rings show don’t bother me either. It all depends on the actor for me. Marvel with the MCU hasn’t let me down yet. And even if I wasn’t a fan of the casting they’ve always impressed me in the end result of the film.
I thought they were more into cultural appropriation at the moment? Which I prefer than just race swapping for the fun of it.

I could take or leave her, but always thought there were much better options out there... same with Adam Driver.
I could get behind Driver as Mr Fantastic. Saw Matt Smith linked with the role today as well, I could get behind that one as well
Hmm not the biggest Matt Smith fan myself. I'm hearing Joseph Quinn has been cast as Mr Fantastic...
I really hope they aren't actually wasting Galactus in a solo movie. He should've been the next big threat instead of Kang, I was hoping they'd at least use him as the next big bad after the Multiverse Saga.

Yeah I thought this too. Unless it’s a Thanos in guardians 1 type thing. There’s also a rumour it will be set in the 60s (which I’m down for) so maybe Galactus will be set up like kang was in quantumania and I’ve also liked the idea that the F4 have been trapped in the quantum realm for a long time which means they could use them in this day and age when they get out. But I’m getting ahead of myself now
Yeah, I'm hopeful it could be setting up something bigger, I'd be fine with a Thanos type deal. I'm not usually a fan of retcons, but I quite like those ideas. Keeps their place as the first family of Marvel and we know there was some superhero stuff going on in secret around that time, so it shouldn't mess with continuity too much.
Everywhere seem to be reporting that Pedro Pascal is Reed Richards! Whilst I’m not against it, the mans an incredible actor, just not sure he will look the part. But I’ll reserve judgement until we see him in full make up and costume
