There are many threads for questions about steelbook values and rarities/exclusives and just chatter.

I think we should have one for Funko Pop Vinyls.

Post here any questions you have about certain exclusives, ones you want, or have.

Let's discuss anything POP related maybe even your dream pop list.

Forbidden Planet tend to have the best access to exclusives and also the best prices a lot of the time (just remember to figure in an extra £4 shipping for 3 Pops though). Be aware that the exclusives generally don't come stickered either. It's a PitA for boxed collectors like myself but makes no difference if you open them. Zavvi will often have 2for £20 or sometimes 2for £18 and there's usually a 10% off promo every other week or so. Sometimes they have a bargain or two (such as the Breaking Bad Crystal ship for £15 when it first went up for pre-order, or the Scarface Pop Ride at 2for£20 the other week) and they've started to get access to EE and PX exclusives recently. Zavvi can be hit or miss though, I have a few Pops on order since October last year which never came into stock.
StarActionFigures are similar prices to FP and seem to give good servive but they have very limited stock. I've used Cardteam.co.uk before as well but they take payment at order, have a very small stock and don't seem to have a reliable supplier. I had to cancel an order with them recently and get my money refunded. Customer service there is spot on though. You can find the odd deal on Amazon now and then. I got Haz Suit Walter White and Saul Goodman for £12 delivered the other week. Ebay is a nightmare and I haven't bought a single Pop off there, prices are way too high unless you get very lucky.

We sadly had a different experience with Cardteam, we got damaged items due to non existent packaging and had to spend ages getting them to reply to emails and waited forever to get a refund.

Zavvi are a nightmare for pops they either don't send you them I had some on order and waited two months and they just cancelled them saying they couldn't get them even though when I ordered them they were listed as instock??

We keep hoping they will do better and they are a 'good buy' so we gave them another chance but got them the other day all damaged and are all going back :(

I disagree about eBay we have got a number of good buys on there and all the people we have dealt with really take care and make an effort with packaging so they have arrived in top shape. :)

Forbidden planet instore are great, online not so good, so many are on back order which means your never getting them and I've had some on preorder since November that were supposed to be out and show no signs of coming :(

Sounds like we've had very different experiences Flash!

I honestly can't complain about any I've received from Zavvi, they've all arrived in great condition including the boxes. My only issue is with the few that have just sat on order forever (Metallic Deathstroke specifically!!! :().
Again, Cardteam were regularly emailing me to apologise for the wait on stock. Personal emails too, not automatic templates. I did get a My Little Pony Amazon Exclusive 3-pack from them for £15 and it arrived really well packed. When I asked for a refund on my outstanding order it was processed the same day with an apology so they're ok in my book.
I had a 4 part FP order cancelled the other week only for 3 of the Pops to come into stock over the next week and be automatically despatched to me. Getting stock does seem to be an issue for all Pop retailers over here?
I've never had a single Pop from Ebay. I have no doubt you will often be dealing with other collectors who would take great care but I see pages and pages of resales on there, standard in-stock Pops for £3-10 more than you can pick them up elsewhere. I also get angry at the scalping that is so prevalent :( However, I tend to avoid top end pieces so can't say if you can find a £30+ figure for a better price on the bay. Personally I have found all the exclusives I've been tempted by at online retailers for better prices though.

Anyway, just goes to show that everyone will have different opinions on the retailer they use so you should try them all out and see which is the best fit for you :)

Just a note about preorders from Forbidden Planet (and Popcultcha): In my experience, preorders from both sites can take a LONG TIME to come in stock. I'm not talking about new releases, but more about older POP!s. Especially exclusives from other countries and retired/discontinued POP!s. Keep in mind that most of the time, these are being re-released so that the UK & Australia can have access to them where they wouldn't have otherwise. They are given an estimated release date, but the date is just that...estimated. ALL series are the same way for us in the US. Just estimated dates. That's why they usually just give a month as the release date, because they're trying to add some extra time for unforeseen mishaps like production delays, shipping delays & customs holds. Personally, I've never had a preorder from either site not get fulfilled. Sometimes it just takes a little while. I don't mind being patient though. Especially if it means that I get to have Bane or Reverse Flash for retail price [emoji106]

Im sorry it's not 'opinion' we just have had very different experiences

Zavvi have been a disgrace in the way they have treated these items and how they have then dealt with it, so you've been lucky mate.

Same for card team, sadly their customer service was shocking pretty rude actually and we will never be using them again.

That's a shame you have not had any from eBay. A lot of people were charging a lot for the loot crate batman/joker and we got it on eBay for under £10 including postage and the seller packaged so well it arrived mint. Guess we have been lucky there

I really don't want my thread caught up in a debate.

let's just say we had very different experiences

Yes moving on,

It seems to be very hard if you are inbox collector to find companies that appreciate pop funkos may not be so expensive usually £10 as obviously much more expensive collectables but they are fragile and collectables items and do damage easily :(

I had a zavvi email on disney BOGOF it listed DVDs, 3ds, blurays and funk pops
When you click on the link there is about 7 funkos but they don't have disney bogof underneath them like the blus do

I'm still trying to get a reply from Zavvi regarding yet more damaged ones :(

Did anyone preorder the bane from Forbidden planet back in November, has anyone got theirs yet?

I haven't heard anything about Forbidden Planet's orders, but most everyone has gotten theirs from Popcultcha. Maybe you guys will be getting yours soon ;)

FP said they were supposed to get them in Feb and don't know when and if they are getting them, surprise surprise.

(For UK people)

We were in this shop called menkind the other day and we were super excited when we saw this display a cardboard pop stand thing ( i wanted it) and lots of pop funkos but they were all £14.99 and just ordinary ones. Why they are charging £5 per pop more than most places was super disappointing. You were basically paying the price of 3 for only two pops. Guy comes over asks if we want any of them, I said yes but not at £15 each.

Yh I saw the same at Milton Keynes Menkind yesterday although they had no display, was just on a shelf. Had Heisenberg which I really want but not for 14.99, and only other they had was old game of thrones Jon Snow, daenerys and Tyrion,
