Syfy's one-hour drama series Haven, starring Emily Rose (Jericho, Brothers and Sisters) is based on the novella The Colorado Kid from renowned author Stephen King. The series follows the shrewd and confident FBI agent Audrey Parker (Rose) as she arrives in the small town of Haven, Maine on a routine case. Before long, her natural curiosity lands her in the epicenter of activity in this curious enclave, which turns out to be a longtime refuge for people that are affected by a range of supernatural afflictions. The truth about Audrey's mysterious past (which she can't fully remember) starts to come out as well.

As the townspeople's dormant abilities begin to express themselves, Audrey helps keep these forces at bay while discovering the many secrets of Haven — including one surrounding her own surprising connections to this extraordinary place.

The impressive creative team behind Haven includes showrunner Scott Shepherd (Tru Calling, The Dead Zone) who is joined by E1 Entertainment's John Morayniss (Hung, Copper) Noreen Halpern (Hung, Copper), Laszlo Barna (The Bridge) and Michael Rosenberg (Hung, The Riches) as well as his partners, Executive Producers Lloyd Segan and Shawn Piller (The Dead Zone, Wildfire, Greek). The pilot was written by Sam Ernst (The Dead Zone) and Jim Dunn (The Dead Zone) who will also serve as executive producers on the series.

This is insane (happy insane)... possibly setting it up for its final season then? Like most other fans of the show I really do love this show and for the most part they have kept the quality of the show pretty darn good and consistent. I would hate for that to go downhill in the name of having more episodes or more seasons. A problem with too many show's is not realizing when they should end it and ultimately the shows ends up sh*tty for a few seasons before they finally end it, just dont want to see that happening here with Haven. Aside from that worry, to the renewal news.

I absolutely adore HAVEN, so I was incredibly excited to find out that next season will be 26 episodes. That cliffhanger last season has me biting my nails for next season. HAVEN is like this perfect blend of Buffy and The X-Files and I'm glad that it continues to be renewed every year.

To think that I only started watching HAVEN because of Emily's Rose's portrayal of Elena in the UNCHARTED games (oh, how I love Emily Rose ).
