It wasn't my cup of tea. The fantasy ideas have a lot of cool/ unique feeling, but too little for this overly long feature.
Had it focused less on the girl fitting in with school and more of the fantasy setting I would have liked that a lot better! Think of Disney Narnia where they have real life and the world of Narnia. A lot of those films take place in the land of NARNIA well this film is flipped barely any fantasy stuff mostly realistic situation stuff.
