Interesting cover choice...but I rather they try and emulate the originals, anyway this is mock up?
But Madelyn Cline in bath...I ain't gonna say no
But seriously I hope the back is better and they go with a more traditional cover for the front.
I'm really not sure how to take reviews, some say it's fun film but not a good one, but it's better then the original
Then some say it's trash but not as bad as I Still Know..
The ones that have praised it said it's very much like a sequel made right after the last one, it looks like a 90's slasher kinda the same way Final Destination Bloodlines captured the look of that era.
The sound design is excellent and it keeps you entertained right up until the end.
the biggest gripes are Gen Z humour and the ending which apparently some will not like..
And some even say it's better then the new Scream films with how it uses it's legacy characters and it's characters are more likeable.
although I wouldn't say that's hard
I've ordered it anyway and I decided when watch it.
Should give me enough time to cancel my order it I don't like it.
Watched it, the fisher man part's I liked.
The rest.... outside of Danica & Teddy who (Danica) can be annoying, I hated the whole cast.
They was generic & unlikable and none of the jokes landed and they was lame.
The returning characters were practically unrecognisable.
Ray & Julie just didn't seem like the same people, and I get the whole "people change" was the whole thing to the film, and outside of the stupid "people don't remember what happened in 97 or pretend it didn't happen", it never explains how the characters got to where they are now, it just is.
Julie & Ray aren't together now and Julie hates Ray, but it never explains why, she just hates him and has a big chip on her shoulder.
It's just pure character assassination that we've all seen before in the last decade of slop that's come out of Hollywood.
Ironically the director is a long time friend of Freddie Prinze Jr.....I would question that..
And that scene with Helen, who was that?
Because that wasn't Helen(I know technically it isn't) and just felt out of place.
Watching the film I was just constantly reacting like this
Even the mid credits thing, the character actually came off stupid, it wasn't them.
It was like a high hippy version of her..
the movie started decent and was really good and better than expected, but then... the last 15 min destroyed the entire movie.
freddie prinze jr is one of the killers, wtf! he survived the original 2 movies and now he is a killer, because the city forgot what happened 27 years ago
You can understand why they rebooted the franchise after seeing the success of the new Scream films but even the OG films of this series wasn't as good as the OG Scream films
I assume the plan was to do more following the mid-credit scene but can't see any news on that so assume as this one was so poorly received they've gone back to the drawing board
