Since most ninjas are more interested in Soundtracks/Scores I thought a Discussion Thread for the latest and upcoming releases of regular records would make sense!

Share your pre-orders you're excited about, re-issues you're looking for or share special editions we should know about!

Thanks mate! I have the CD somewhere... been an age since I listened to it though. I'll more than likely pick this up, although they could've done something a bit more special for the artwork IMO.

EDIT - Never mind, just saw this bit...
To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the iconic drama, the original soundtrack is being reissued on vinyl. Having been out of print for a long time, the 180g vinyl features replica original artwork that includes special silver spot finishes throughout - front, back, booklet and picture labels, as well as bright pantones. There will be a limited run on orange vinyl before moving to black once sold out.

Thanks for the tag @Flloydo

I never listened to the OST. Will give it a spin and see if it's something I would listen to.

Yep, it sucks! (n)

Italians certainly don't do shipping better.

Really hope someone can help out with this, as I want it BAD!! :ohno:

Question is if you can get cheaper shipping from a ninja. Most of the time the lowest shipping rate for me is around 30 USD from the US.
So for me it only make sense to combine it with other stuff to make shipping more worth it.

Hmm I hadn't considered that! Although Waxwork usually charge me $22, so $33 is ridiculous IMO. I guess I could do as you suggested and order multiple items to make the cost worth it, but then I'd be worried about IDIB marking the real price on the package and it getting caught by customs.

The 22 USD is a price only companies get from DHL eCommerce. The 30-33 USD shipping rate is what USPS charge. Most shops only use USPS so they can't control the price.
I've asked that already IDIB some month back. They said they can only ship with USPS. That said I'm pretty sure they mark it with the real price. Shipping is handled through http://www.echoparkrecords.com/

You could order one to a US address for 17 USD. And you keep it there and wait for US releases (Steelbooks, Slips ..) you're interested in to make the 30-35 USD shipping worth. And of course marked with a lower price to avoid customs.

Oh? But my Waxwork stuff is always sent via USPS and they only charge $22. But anyway... like you pointed out, I'd only have to pay for shipping to a US address to then pay shipping again to the UK, so it's going to turn out expensive either way. Unless the next Mondo Steelbook releases are in the US, then I can't see myself wanting anything else from there any time soon unfortunately. I might just go for it and pay the price... I'd rather pay a lot for it than miss out completely!

PS. Customs don't count shipping costs towards the total price, do they? I know they changed the limit not too long ago, so I just want to make sure nothing else changed.

That's strange. I thought since Mondo reduced the cost with choosing DHL eCommerce that Waxwork did the same. Then I can't understand why others don't get the same rate :bored:

Maybe with MondoCon coming up and HDN goodies and stuff and a new Black Label release you'll find something to ship with the vinyl?

For Germany customs count shipping cost towards the total price. I don't know if it's different in the UK..

I have no clue how it all works mate. Ordering from Waxwork is the only time I've ordered direct from the US... anything else I get through GBs. It does seem strange that they're able to get cheaper shipping though!

Ohh good shout... I completely forgot about HDN MondoCon! I'm not sure who I could ask for help though, and I don't like bugging people with stuff like this... I feel cheeky asking lol. I actually already put in an order for the vinyl earlier anyway... the high price means I'll have to cancel some other stuff, but oh well, I'll be happy to have this. :)

Now I have the time to reply properly Daniel. Last night it was very busy at work and when I got your notification I almost shouted out my response, lol!

I have a very special releationship with this album, I must have listened to it hundreds of times. Around 99-00 when I worked in a vinyl second hand shop for about a year and half I played this non-stop over the speakers. I still listens to it regularly.

The price is steep but when vat is deducted it ended up at £66.95 + shipping. I don't have time for this to drop in price, lol. Looks like a great package and this album deserves nothing less. It's a full on CLASSIC! :D

Have you heard it @dan8885 ?
