Honestly was such a good time and fun. Just brought the site together. Then back to mayhem once it finishedThat sounds pretty cool. I'd imagine it'd unfortunately be quite difficult to get retainers on board nowadays especially given the new influencer culture you mention. Forums have become very old-fashioned in the mind of most unfortunately. But I'd certainly be up for that and would like to throw something here and there into the ring for a giveaway if it helped get more people involved.
.The finish actually makes alot of difference. WeET finaly deliverd again after a few fails the Godfather was simply boring with only a title and the dark knight trilogy where nice but not spectaculair looks like they finaly made some extra effort againSo mad the difference a great finish can do tho. I was happy with Mantas FS and steel for Furiosa.
More than happy. It’s a perfect release for me and I’ve been waiting patiently for Fury Road. To the point I mention it in my group chat every month that it’s next up lol.
Went from really not liking these beauty shots especially the steels and only into 1 or 2 slips so I skipped it. To adoring those 2 Full slips in the live pics, luckily both came back in stock and was able to order them together but still wasn’t feeling the steels especially Fury Road which that artwork I hate to them making it look awesome In shots with the finish and big ole title embossing. It could not have worked out better. I do think the manta Furiosa steel is better but it’s mad how I can go from hating something to loving something like that.
Can’t wait to get them in hand plus I’ve not seen FR in 4K yet so another reason I was waiting on Manta

Both look great but I love the Fury Road Steelbook, so glad I decided to get the Lenticular slip for it.
Yeah quite exited actually heard some good things about Furiosa mainly the picture quality, i cant see it topping Mad Max but who knows. Think i watched Mad Max 10years ago when 4k was just introduced, i believe there where only a dozen 4k movies at that time lol. Revisiting Mad Max would be a blast to with my new setup i can imagine and just to see how good that movie was becouse it has been some time.Great film Furiosa. In some ways preferred it to Fury Road even tho Fury Road is probably more thrilling. Plus that whole driving scene is insane. Cool driving scene in this one too. Tbh they are both incredible films. Even Hardy isn’t annoying
Fury Road was the first thing I watched when I first got a 4K TV many years ago, although it was a Netflix stream. Still looked fantastic, but I watched my blu-ray on my newer OLED a few months back and it looked and sounded phenomenal. Can't wait to watch this when I get it. I liked Furiosa, were some nice sections and it was great to see Chris Hemsworth getting the chance to ham it up, looked like he had lots of fun with the role.Yeah quite exited actually heard some good things about Furiosa mainly the picture quality, i cant see it topping Mad Max but who knows. Most movies nowadays suffer from loads of cgi and green screen just a bit to much. I really appreciate practical effects alot more becouse they became rare and expensive proberly but it really helps with the immersion of the film then again if green screen and cgi fits the movie i can absolutely enjoy it, 300 comes to mind hahaFury Road was the first thing I watched when I first got a 4K TV many years ago, although it was a Netflix stream. But I can't deny the heavy use of green screens and CGI put me off a bit. Completely get it, Fury Road's production was ridiculous when you think of the conditions and the amount of time it took to make, doubt we'll ever see anything like that ever again, not to mention George Miller's age and Furiosa being made during covid. But I did feel like it made a noticeable difference visually. I was also a little disappointed in the OST, thought it was generally very lowkey and not much stood out (and couldn't believe they didn't use more from one of the trailers). But I still did like it, I think the opening is great, and who could complain about live action Solid Snake?
I really like the back of the lenti for Fury and the actual lenti for Furiosa. Really happy with those full slip choices I went for though. Look great In the video. It all doesEverything looks really great but the Fury A1 & Lenti are still standouts still for me. Both stunning.
The problem isn't that the lighting is 'artificial', light is light. The issue is it's massively overexposed, real shame as the video is lovely otherwise.I hope it's just the awful artificial light in that video that isn't doing justice to this release. WeET's pics were loads better
They certainly turned the saturation up a bit in that video. Couldn’t work out why they did itThe problem isn't that the lighting is 'artificial', light is light. The issue is it's massively overexposed, real shame as the video is lovely otherwise.
Might not be intentional, wasn't until quite recently I noticed my pictures had too much saturation. I'm using Capture one and the cheeky buggers are boost saturation to make photos imported in their software have that little bit extra pop, had to resort to desaturating everything even though they're raws. They certainly turned the saturation up a bit in that video. Couldn’t work out why they did it
shame about the video quality though it doesn't really do this set justice. Rest assured folks these will definitely look much better in hand i have a few titles that are shown in blueray archive channel and they look way better in hand. The problem isn't that the lighting is 'artificial', light is light. The main function of a light box is to reduce reflections, which also kills shadows, it's the wrong tool being used the wrong way by most people and by natural light I assume you're refering to light coming through a big window which isn't hard to do with a big LED instead, Hollywood does it every day after all.Light isn't light. Shooting things in a light box or shining a massive LED light on them showcases thing's completely different to just using natural light
Definitely dont agree if you want everything to pop you need better contrast with darkness and highlights, for that to achieve you need way more darkness and a small light to highlight certain parts you want to showcase. This is just overblown with light and makes everything more ugly. I really dont understand how the person who shot this video could think yeah this looks ace lets post it!I think it's clear they wanted the video to really pop, which I think they achieved
