Sorry to bump this one, but has anyone compared the finish on the uk premium range to the *** range?
im not too impressed with the finish on the uk one, it has that poor paint job that looks bad if angled wrong, like a negative effect.
I like the artwork though, so if this one has a better finish I may go for it.

This one is whiter than the UK one, which is more of an off-white/grey. This one also doesn't have the cheap crappy finish the UK one has with the angled effect you refer to. In short, this one is superior.

Indeed,picked this up very cheap a few months back,lovely finish on the Japanese ones plus the title is in White as opposed to green and looks much better for it.

Correct. Warner really made some decent pure white Steels but things changed with the JP wave 2 which had horrendous finish.

Also most of these Steels can be bought for cheap.
