Just received mine.
Usual Slip box print.
Shame the Actors names are glossed but not the tower or any other focal point on the slip except the title.
Steelbook imo is still very muted in colour, gloss is very light and doesn't look like a full white base was used (could be wrong) but looks like its been used very specifically in certain places , think a full white base would of really popped the colours more.
Comparison of old and new under the same light, certainly a bit brighter but IMO this didn't warrant a complete new release from what we had, at least not with with the little changes we got.
For clarity, my older one is a defect example.

Marginal but solid upgrades to be fair. Still, for me, I think it's definitely a finer version. I just didn't like the extreme dullness of the original one at all (I had the same. Not Amazon head version), it was so muted, streaky and lacking vibrancy in all the coverage. Crazy considering the colour palette. This steel looks way better than the OG.
Glad I've traded in and switched.
I'm interested in a closer look at that slipbox. Seems from here the print depth is somewhat soft and lacking detail?

Worked out at a £8 upgrade after selling on the older version. Good deal looking at it that way.

Hmm I might cancel my order then, I'm actually fairly happy with my original steelbook and was pushing it a bit trying to get this in-between everything else releasing in this window. Guess I'll think on it a bit.
Id hate my personal opinion to effect your purchase, This maybe the first post I've made like this, just want to interact with the community as much as I can.
If you purchased yours via HMV with the code i imagine your be happy with it for that price, for me i think i got FOMO and grabbed it when i wasn't totally unhappy with the original tbh!

No don't worry I don't just mean it was just your opinion! It was your photos that are making me feel that way and I always appreciate when people post them here alongside opinions. I'll sit on it and see how I feel for a while regardless, I ordered from Amazon Italy so no rush as of yet.
I think it looks pretty decent overall especially with the hmv 20% off discount. Thanks for the pics. I'm happy with how it turned out.
Mine just arrived. My initial impressions are, it's not nearly as nice as the Atomic Blonde one. I feel there should have been more spot gloss on the slip, and the flaps on the slip are just far too apparent. It's certainly an improvement on the HMV exclusive steelbook we got, although that was pretty decent. I'll take my photos now but they probably wont show anything @AstroC13 didn't already show.
Even if it's not a huge upgrade the lack of streaks seems like a big win for the new steelbook design.
Yep, the slip looks a bit underwhelming but I don’t mind that the steel is not supperglossy/bright. It looks a decent upgrade on the earlier release I sold a while ago.
I agree entirely about being spoilt recently with the likes of Twister, King Kong and Atomic Blomde so the the bar was very high.
I’m a bit underwhelmed by this one. Don’t look as good as some of the recent collectors sets. Won’t be able to truly tell until it’s in hand though
The new steelbook definitely looks much better, and as I only have the Target digipack, I'm happy to receive such an edition!
Yeah you can never be sure til it's actually in hand. I know I didn't get the same WOW factor I got when I opened the Atomic Blonde that's for sure. Definitely feels like a step back for Universal with these sets.
I think it’s the lack of finish on the slip for me, kinda ruined it. But also the whole package is so Orange it didn’t bother me in the beauty shots but the in hand shots it’s really bugging me badly. The other sets have so many different colours going on that the constant orange on this is giving me a headache

The Orange is probably a little over saturated on my photos But it still is very orange. "Little" is a bit of an understatement lol mine looks nothing like that in hand. It is all orange, granted, but it's not quite THAT orange. I wish the steel was a bit more saturated tbh.
Wow in hand this is a real let down, the Steelbook especially feels a little 'bootleg' with Murphy really dull and washed out against to the rest of the orange. Makes me wonder what could have been had Manta got the green light to release theirs. Also makes me now worry about Last Night in Soho...
Really can’t tell how I feel about this release. The slip is the biggest disappointment for me. That metal work should’ve had the spot gloss treatment on both sides of the slip. It’s screaming for it. So yeah not as good as the other collectors sets previously released by Universal because of that detail missing. Otherwise it could’ve been great
