Just watched Godzilla Minus One. So good.
They took the time to focus as much on the motivations of the characters as they did on the spectacle. Reminded me of Jaws in some respects. Basing it in the postwar 1940's gave it more of a unique setting too.

5/5

Silent Night - John Woo

Truly terrible. 1 / 5
Every bad cliché in the book. Shockingly poor narrative judgement being essentially wordless. It adds nothing and takes away everything.
I wanted out after 15 minutes but bravely stayed to the molten cheese, cringe laden ending. Painfully embarrassing.
Action movies evolved a decade ago with The Raid.
Jon Woo where have you gone? This tarnishes your 80's & 90's masterpieces.
Just agonisingly awful.
Can you guess I hated it.

A bit like Mission Impossible : 2 then?

Any doves in it?

Sad to hear. And he's planning on remaking the killer. His not Finchers. lol

For me at least (and a high percentage of critics) it haplessly fails in almost every area.
God, the main actors look SO uncomfortable it's painful.
I read somewhere that it's been on the shelf, finished for several years now looking to be released. Now understand why.

Some of the action isn't that bad - like 10% :hilarious:

Killers of the Flower Moon : 3 outta 5. Too long. De Niro and Di Caprio were booooring.

Rebel Moon : 1 outta 5. Eye Candy at times. Nothing more. Empty Stupid Meaningless Shell.

Salburn : 4 outta 5. Interesting. Well acted. Went in knowing nothing and was surpriced. See it !
