Found this incredibly long and boring back when I saw it on release in 2014... my first rewatch since then and I really enjoyed it this time! Maybe I'll dislike it again the third time around.

I really enjoyed the 3D version as well. It's a good flick. My only gripe is how they made Noah a no-good-drunk-good-for-nothing-deadbeat dad at the end. (And his man cave - LITERAL man cave! - on the beach was strewn with "empties" of mead!!). That bit felt a little anachronistically "ghetto".
But it's mostly a good flick.

Haven't seen it in 3D, and at over 2 hours long I doubt I ever will unfortunately... I struggle to last 30 mins without wanting to hurl. The film definitely has its faults, the one you mentioned about his man cave (LOL!) being one of them. There's a lot of really good/fun scenes in there too though, and the CGI (minus the babies) was pretty decent as well.

I think the reason I originally disliked it so much is because it didn't feel "Aronofsky" enough... kind of felt like Hollywood had caught up to him, held a gun to his back and forced him to make a blockbuster movie. Glad I was able to put all that aside on rewatch though and properly enjoy it!

I think they met in the middle. This wasn't "Hollywood stoopid" and it did not pander or mock the subject matter.
(You were either Team "Noah is The Man" or Team "Noah is a Dick"!)
Loved Methuselah!!
The more you think about it, it was very Aronofsky! (For me - The Wrestler was more "not" Aronofsky!).

I just watched Hush (2016) awesome flick.

In the trailer - he walks INTO the house, takes her cell phone, then walks OUTSIDE the house and waves at her.
Why would he go OUTSIDE to torment her (via SMS) when he was ALREADY INSIDE the house(!) to take her cell phone?!!
Just from that busted logic I have no interest.

because she is deaf, has no idea he was in her house and he just wants to torment her. Its not busted logic. It was damn creepy and well done

What I am saying is- what is his motivation? If he was already in the house to take her phone, why would he leave and spend the rest of the movie trying to get back in the house when he was already there?!

@C.C. 95 You actually have a point. The guy's motivation behind it all is never revealed, so the entire film felt very pointless to me. It's basically a live action Tom and Jerry... only here the mouse is just as dumb as the cat. Seriously, it genuinely frustrated me how dumb the characters were. :banghead:
