JURASSIC WORLD: REBIRTH

I've pretty much liked all the Jurassic films, even in light of the fact that some are not as on par with the others. As for this fresh entry into the franchise, I was pretty entertained throughout the film. Naturally they have to have the occasional impossible escape where the person is sure to be dino-delicacy only to learn that, amazingly, a human can outrun the dino when push comes to shove. Or outswim. That nonsense notwithstanding, I felt Scarlett did a really good job of carrying this film as the 'headmaster' of it all. As for the dino's, they are mostly if not all bastardized versions of themselves, which includes this massive almost demonic looking thing that comes from nightmares. Seriously have to wonder if Rob Bottin didn't have a hand in designing that Thing. Strong performances, strong dialogue, good story. Only thing keeping it from 5 is the impossible survival. But yeah, it would have put a huge downer on the film I guess so hey...box office rules!!!

Recently upgraded to a Sonos Arc ultra soundbar and LG G5 to go with my Panasonic UB820.
My go to 4k disc to test my system sound and image wise. In my opinion this is up there as one of the best audio and visual 4k discs out there..
Superb sequel as well..

MISSION IMPOSSIBLE: THE FINAL RECKONING

Boy oh boy was I ever looking forward to seeing this! And it delivered!!

I found that this was a step up from the previous Dead Reckoning installment, which this follows as a conclusion to that story. While DR was a step down from Fallout, this one takes us back to the top, baby, in a big way! Gotta give this what it deserves!!!

James Gunn's SUPERMAN

Enjoyed this film very much. I won't go so far as to tab it the greatest Superman movie ever. That, to me, continues to be SUPERMAN: THE MOVIE from '78, but I can't really put this down in any way. In fact, I enjoyed it more than Zach Snyder's Man of Steel, which I like quite a bit. Also, the fact that this is not an origin story was pleasing to me. Lastly....Krypto rocks!!!!! A great time to be had, which gives it my highest recommendation!!

SILVER STREAK

I hadn't seen this movie in years, and was excited when I discovered it was on blu in italy, so I snagged one and watched it.

My memories of this being a most excellent movie were rewarded with a newfound respect for the greatness of not only this film, but the hilarity between Gene Wilder and Richard Pryer. Honestly, watching this movie I was laughing so hard my side hurt. There's just no way I cannot give this film the ultimate respect in Ninjas. I'm laughing just thinking about it. Lol.

Horns

I didn't think I was going to like it but it's pretty awesome :)

5 ironman out of 5
Yeah, man. I really dug this film! Had to snag it from Zavvi back in the day. Good stuff. I never did a review on this after watching it so this will serve as that. The movie was much more than I thought it was going to be. I do recommend this film.

We can share Ninja's!

Fraiser will likely get an Oscar node, but the entire cast is excellent and the story will make you laugh and perhaps cry (or at least get a choked up). My memory is short, but for now, I think this was probably the best movie I've seen this year.

This is my take, but I suspect if you like Shakespeare more than I do, you'd give it 4 or 5 ninjas. For me the story drags at several points.
However, the ending is quite moving and the 3rd act is what makes the final 10 minutes payoff.

So not a shakespeare buff? Wait for streaming
Shakespeare buff? Go see it. You'll likely love it.

Zootopia 2 (2025)
I'm not sure it's quite as good as the first, but if it's not, it's only down a notch. I thoroughly enjoyed this movie and would recommend to kids and adults

Wicked for Good (2025).

I'd give 3.75 if that existed. It's not as good as the first one, but I liked it more than the 2nd act of the Play. However, there's no getting around it that the 2nd act was never as good as the first and the best songs were in the first act as well

At times, the pitch correction is a bit overbearing (especially at the beginning) and unnecessary. We know the leds can sing without a net.

Die My Love (2025)

I didn't hate this, but I didn't love it either; however, the acting is good. I think part of the issue was that I was never sure if everything I saw was real or if it was some sort of Lynchian dream.

Christy (2025)
Not a great movie, though as one who knows nothing about female boxing, i found there was a fair level of suspense at times.
But the reason to see this is Sweeney. Her acting was fantastic.
