I cancelled my order with Amazon

These steelbooks have a huge print run world wide from what I can see so I have decided to wait till they drop in price

I already have the Star Wars Blu-ray Box Set and trilogy steelbooks

I'm a star wars fan but I will wait it out for a price drop which I expect will happen in the new year I can see these end up been available at bargain prices in the UK and Europe

There's someone on Ebay claiming they are only making 1,000 of these steelbooks each, seems far fetched. anyone know the print run for sure?

Hum... Highly doubt that...

Best Buy Canada alone has +- 140 stores in Canada and they advertise them in next week flyer with MIN. 10 per store... so do the math... and also consider Amazon.ca, Walmart.ca, HMV.ca and others have them too so...

You can also pre order from archambault, renaud-bray and inet video. That's pretty big print run I think

I dunno about anyone else (maybe I'm too picky) but i found it very hard to find perfect spines for these. Especially A New Hope.
Most were off center and some of the title text was kind of blurry (others were crisp).
Luckily there are tons of these in store so after a while of comparing I was able to find good ones.

Saved 16$ so going to return my previously purchased set

Think I'll skip the steelbooks and keep this as my "grail" copy since Sony has just announced they will no longer produce BetaMax tapes
