Will wait for the extended edition, though was it just me or did anyone else find the first hour and a half of this film pointless, only got going once they got to Smaug IMO

If that is the case then why would you wait for an extended cut....already u have quoted half the movie to be pointless...extended cut will only add further to your dissapointment if you see that way

Yes, that's correct with the discs

Looks nice, just a shame they had to slap "3D" on it so it wont match the first movie's steelbook, at least it's not a jumbo steelbook.

I will pick this up from HMV on Monday if it's a reasonable price

I thought about waiting for the extended version but will more then likely be another jumbo, so will get this now and stick the extended disks in, which I what I'm going to with the hobbit, seeing has I can't get the best buy extended edition for a reasonable price. So I ended up getting the hobbit steelbook from ES for £9.99 and stuck the extended disks in.
