Why do I have a suspicious feeling that Zavvi are deliberately holding back some stock of this title and saving it for sale this Christmas? It sold out rather quickly last year, and I wouldn't put it past Zavvi to offer it for sale again during the holiday period this year. Zavvi have become so untrustworthy that anything is possible...

Yes because storing excess stock for a year makes perfect business sense doesn't it?

So glad I snagged the BB/FS one recently. I've seen this particular release's art on plenty of amarays and slipcovers to make it really seem not that special for a steel.

Sorry, just my $0.02

Well, I hope heche's theory is right. I've been thinking the same lately, would love a copy of this for £9.99 as I passed on it last year

I have a hunch and I'm sticking with it until I know for sure about the availability of this SB! ;)

I already have this
Bit of an unusual move by Zavvi is this another 5000 print run or stock found but with a pre order date instead of just making available now

It don't bother me its going to be available again but if its another print run of 5000 is there a reason why
Is there anything new with this release compared to the previous as in the Blu-ray Disc Content

Funny how they put up Snollygoster's video on the product page, just to underline the fact that this steel was released ages ago. The video of course is of the same high quality we've come to expect from the Ninja channel.

I see there is some confusion regarding this title. Many people would like to know whether this is old stock which has been kept back, or an entirely new print run. I'm leaning more towards the former as it would be unethical for Zavvi to have ordered another batch of these to be printed, but equally I have to question why a SteelBook release from last December is now showing up as a pre-order rather than just available for sale again...

Am I the only one who is losing trust in Zavvi? It's stuff like this which makes me not want to trust anything I read on their site. To me, sold out is sold out, not "sold out temporarily because we've stashed a load away for next holiday season"!

Absolutely incredible! Just when you thought Zavvi couldn't drop any lower...

You're putting too much sentiment into these things, though your points are very valid. It's purely business to make money. If you already have this in your collection, don't bother. As far as I can tell, it's probably old stock. This steelbook wasn't selling well. It could be had for under £10 on eBay UK. I'm sure Zavvi decided to play marketing stunt with it and then re-ignite some sparks for Halloween. If it's the same artwork, it won't go sell well (unless they drop the price to £9.99).

zavvi doesnt know what ethics are.

people in the past may have claimed it was paranoia or mere theory the way zavvi handles its stock, but this proves beyond all doubt that zavvi are not trustworthy.

All retailers do it, let's not get carried away. Amazon order a reissue of a few thousand more Breaking Bad barrels every time stocks runs out.

I took a partial refund because my copy arrived damaged and they didn't have it in stock anymore. Wouldn't have done that if I knew this.
It's nice for the people who don't have this yet though. So when does Aladdin come back in stock? :p
